How am I supposed to kill araxxi now?

With Morvran enhancers. They work off-task, heal you upto full health, and have no cooldown. Have fun onslaughting yourself to death at Raxi then having the enhancer rescue you ;)

From what I was told AND the understanding behind Life Refresh scroll, they were being used as a means to 'fudge' over specific boss battles. Mainly bosses that would deal high amounts of damage that would pretty much instant kill them and rendering them "avoidable".

They would take in a hit, that would spell their downfall, and have their Sign/Portent of Life buff go on cooldown just so they can continue with the battle. Which sounds like a normal situation. But with the Life Refresh scroll, they were able to use it DURING the fight. Giving them another means to fudge that big hit again. Therefore "avoiding" specific high damage/instant kill hits.

That's my reason behind WHY they were changed to only be accessible near bank now. OR it could have been something else that I'm totally missing.....

Regardless, they were sold three times before Jagex nerfed them.

I saw the patch notes about this, so I Googled. On Reddit, some people were begging to have these things vitiated, as they were ruining the game by making some bosses far too easy.

Well, I only heard about it too late to take unfair advantage. But that's made me think. Some people have slow connections and so on. So it wouldn't be entirely a bad thing if there were overpowered things around that made bosses easier... but how could that be done without spoiling the game?

I think that if anything like this existed, it should be like overloads. To get it, one would need a very high level in some skill or other - and it would not be tradeable, so people couldn't buy their way to a win. Sort of a sop - you've skilled your way to 120, and you still can't kill the big bosses? All right, then, here's a leg up.

Maybe it could be handled right so as not to ruin the game.

A slow connection is your own responsibility, not Jagex's. Jagex should not be giving you crutches because of technical issues on your own end, or for any other reason for that matter.

And yeah, it absolutely would be an entirely bad thing for overpowered items to become easier to obtain that not only make bosses easy, but make them trivial or, in the case of darts, let you entirely skip fighting the boss and simply get free loot. These items should never have existed at all, much less in the quantities they're being given out these days.

Learn how to kill the boss as everyone else must do, or don't get loot. There should be no other options.

The truth is you're the weak, and I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin'. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd.

It can't be.
You'll get it when you deserve it.
