Damage the economy? Wtf are you talking about. 10 years to get used to this pattern with an occasional change in the schedule. If you're still buying supplies after a BXP announcement instead of right after a BXP weekend or selling your crafted items during the BXP weekend instead of a few months out, you're an idiot. If the weekends were more sporadic and infrequent then you might have a point, but things now move in predictable cycles. It doesn't ruin the economy, it drives the economy.

The more exp you get per resource used, the less of said resources are needed -> their value drops. Dxp weekends do just that, they devalue the prices of resources because there's less demand overall for them. Not to mention that, because the rate at which people gain access to higher level resources is accelerated by dxp weekends, their supply increases, which further devalues them. Supply and demand, you know the concept, right? So this shouldn't be tough to follow.

And btw, you make it sound like it's just a simple matter of buying and selling at the right time, but do remember that if you play the game actively, having to wait for those moments can tie up a lot of your cash to those goods, cash that you can't spend on e.g. equipment. It might make more money for you long term to be impatient and earn money via PvM instead, but nonetheless you'll suffer from the devaluation of resources.

Sorry, but just because your schedule doesn't allow you to participate doesn't mean it's an unfair advantage. The event is open to all, it's not Jagex's fault you're busy. When Jagex puts BXP weekends behind a paywall then you can make that argument (not counting p2p vs f2p).

If dxp weekends were the only dailyscape content in the game, maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but Jagex nowadays develops the game such that they expect you to play the game every single day.

(continued from above)

Unless you literally have no work/school/other real life duties, there is no way for you to complete all the dailyscape in the game (and even in such an ideal situation, I doubt you'd enjoy feeling pressured to do the same stuff every day for long), and dxp weekends are of the worst kind of dailyscape because you literally have to play 24/7 during it or you miss out on millions of bonus exp.

So please, look at the bigger picture as well. I know from past experience that it's easy to just blame people instead of Jagex for dailyscape issues, but Jagex is intentionally designing those problems and it doesn't benefit us, only them. A pro-consumer game lets its players decide without psychological pressure, when and how much they want to play.

Early and midgame content are a breeze because Jagex has overdone exp in general over the years. But that's a completely different discussion. A weekend is not changing anything.

I disagree. As I used the example before, even one dxp weekend can save you half the time and money needed to get 200m summoning, let alone the time spent on gathering the charms. Dxp weekends, even on their own, still massively contribute to the powercreep of the game.

The bitching and complaining has gotten you guys no where over the years. The majority of people enjoy them hence the continuation of them and now increased frequency. You're almost as bad as the people that complain about EoC still.

People who currently participate might do so only because if they don't, it leaves them at a major disadvantage, since individual people are unlikely to think that enough many other players are going to do the same. And even if they did enjoy it, that only goes to, once again, show that the game is not fun without a massive exp boost, which is an issue in itself.

I'm not sure what the point of posting the schedule was. Feb/March are within 1 month of each other. Sep/Oct are within 1 month of each other. Nice try attempting to exaggerate things. But all you've done is shown they indeed come at predictable times. There will be one in the beginning of the year and one closer to the end.

Anything else added in between is just extra. And like I said in my post there are times to buy/sell supplies. All your stuff should have been bought or sold before this announcement was made anyways. If you can't figure it out by now, stay poor.

Ah yea, lets just ignore the "outlier" months, the one year with no dxp, and downplay the time difference of one whole month to conveniently fit your narrative.

And yes, stay poor indeed. Nowhere have I said I'm losing money thanks to dxp. All I've said is that everyone (appart from ironmeme) are affected by dxp one way or another and brought up an example as a counter argument to Mr Rey Ray's point.

But I guess you just wanna read into things how you like.
