Hi there I would like to know if asking for more money is against the rules or not? for example a Pumpkin currently has a GE value at 426.9 Million but if I wanted lets say 440 mill because I valued it at that would that be ok? Thanks in advance I just haven't ever known how it works.

As long as you aren't lying (for example saying other people are paying your preposterous price) that isn't against the rules

no1 will buy it tho lol
You'll get it when you deserve it.

People will only pay for what they think is a bargain.

Paying more then the going rate isn't good business sense. Everyone wants a bargain.

You can sell for any price you want but will someone buy it that is the question. :P

It is not only allowed , it is good practice amongst merchants. Asking a fair price is frowned upon.
When you have made the deal and arranged a meeting to do the trade, then dont forget to ask for a bit extra just one more time right before you make the trade.
The best way to do this is to say to the player "hold on 1 second, someone is pm-ing me with a potentially better offer"
The other player has already made the purchase in his head and his desired item in his bank, he/she will most likely pony up another 100m or whatever.
