Full title: Dailyscape Reduction: Daily Rewards from Achievements and Quests

Please note: this is only about the claimable item/currency rewards

Thru the game, you can get a number of daily repeatable rewards either from completing the (formerly named) Achievement Diaries for each region and completing several quests.

Examples include:
- Fruit from Del Monte (Elite Karamja Tasks) - worth up to 48k gp

- Pure Ess from Wizard Cromperty (Ardy Tasks) - worth up to 3k gp

- 8k Tokkul (elite Karamja Tasks)

- Buckets of Sand from Bert (Hand and the Sand 84, Elite Ardy Tasks 120)

- Up to 40 Potato Cacti from wierd old man (Desert Tasks) - about 52k gp

- Bag of lost and found items, random items worth about 5k gp (Desert easy tasks)

- Food Basket from Lum Cook (Lumbridge Hard Tasks)

- Free Planks from Razmire (Morytania Medium Tasks)

- Up to 200 Flax from Geoffrey (Seers Village Tasks)

- 28 random logs from Coeden (Priff Elite Tasks)

- 30 Free Swamp Tar (Priff Medium Tasks)

Lot of running around for a handful of rewards.

Now, completing most of the area tasks eventually requires a lot of quests and high level skills. So it would make sense that the player would have some means of being able to get all this 'stuff' without having to run around.

We have methods in game that would make sense for letting something/someone else collect it:

- Butler, Demonic Butler, Mind Controlled Monkey Butler - daily collections could just be yet another action we can set for them. Butler and Demonic Butler would count towards their actions and require you to eventually pay them gp

- Our Kingdom - diverting one of our slaves workers towards daily collection at the expense of 1 of the island resources

- An NPC similar to May's Quest Caravan - whatever their in game story is, they gladly collect the items for us (or could even give Explorer Jack an added use in game after completing Myth of the White Lands)

Of course, the player would need to complete some mechanic in order to get the collection service. Could be completing at least 1 Task Set. The collection for a Task/Quest daily reward might only occur AFTER the quest/task set is completed (ie: collection service can only get Desert Task rewards after ALL Desert Tasks are done)

Might also be a discussion if daily rewards would still need to be collected daily or if rewards would accumulate like Kingdom resources.

Another option might just be to pair down or remove the daily rewards all together.

I certainly wouldn't want to see those rewards removed, but allowing for a centralized place to collect them would already help to tone down dailyscape quite a bit.

Maybe to bring in another thought: Allow the place to be upgraded in some way (could actually also be an awesome chance for some overworld construction) so it would collect rewards for a couple of days (maybe one week when it is fully upgraded). They certainly shouldn't allow to this indefinetely, since you would at least need to keep your coffers filled to keep your kingdom properly working, while this would be a free service.

I’ve always had this concept of an invention device/machine called a “Clockwork Yak” that can be charged with Divine Energy to make your daily runs to various shops and daily rewards.

My second idea, is a token available via Spotlight/Thaler that allows you to do your dailies in advance consecutively. For example, instead of feeling obligated to log on everyday to do “X” you can instead consume the token and do today’s and tomorrow's DnD or even further back (up to a week).

The problem to bind it to a cost (rather than an unlock) makes it prone to not be feasible to use - so this thing ends up dead on arrival. Players certain should have to earn it in some way, but they shouldn't have to pay maintenance costs to use it afterwards.

As for the second idea: Take a look at fish flingers - it basically is a daily d&d, but you can accumulate the tokens for a couple of days. As a plus you're even able to earn more tokens by playing the game. If all daily d&d were designed in this system dailyscape really would be much more endurable as you could burn down your attempts as soon as you just got more time.
