Do you really believe that in this case it was a "power abuse" really? Because they do not want their game to be associated with such bad publicity and want to show they will not ignore such toxic behaviour? especially a content creator that is most likely watched by younger audience resolving in only making the issue worse by making it seem like suicide is a joke? I do not see runescape becoming youtube in popularity that is far fetched for sure simply said its their game and they can do what ever they wish to do with it this guy unknowingly signed up for a public execution your argument is that it was a "power abuse" but in reality he got what he deserved yes there are some flaws in the security system for your account but this is not a discussion about the security system but about a guy who got rightfully banned for toxic behaviour and if you really think it is unfair for him to get banned after showing such little care about what he has done and half assed apology well you should perhaps try to understand it in a different way such as this happened to one of your loved ones or family member I would love to see how you would react if someone in your circle was suicidal and was told to do it already basically and even laugh about it well I do not think you would be happy either.

usedxsoulsaid: Actually Jagex has 100% authority to do whatever they want with THEIR accounts, You pay to borrow THEIR accounts, Your account is not owned by you, you rent it through their website. And that is just how it is, Maybe you should read up on some stuff to learn what you are talking about, You sound ignorant.
mobyd, I understand that you disagree with the course of action taken and you are permitted to express that here. However, insulting other players in your response is not. As such, some of your rencent posts have been removed.
usedxsoul, I've quoted your response but removed the quote, as it contained inappropriate content.
Miisaksaid: There is nothing wrong with dark humour but there's time and place for everything you do not go around saying to someone feeling suicidal "go kill yourself" and laugh about it I would love to see your reaction if the same happened to someone from your family or loved ones… You say Jagex had no right to ban him because it's "a fucking game" perhaps you are right but for them it's a business the fact is that they simply do not wish to ignore such toxic and arrogant behaviour that simple from a business point of view it makes sense if you stopped and thought about it for 2 minutes...
Miisak, I have also quoted your response on the previous page and removed the quote, as it was inappropriate.
"Jagex is incredibly passionate about mental health and wellbeing, and we will continue to do all we can to help those in our community – and beyond"
Trolls in the forums and other social media often use "mental health" among other forms personal health reasons to attack other players - either they try to bully others who have or said to have. these issues, or pretend to be one belongs to these challenged groups to start a fight.
I sincerely hope Jagex take serious actions against these trolls. This is one of the reasons why the WHO claimed video games cause mental illness.
Rest assured, not only am I refused to bully these challenged, or proclaimed to be challenged, individuals or let the others do that, I will try my best to help the society by reporting these trolls to the upper management of Jagex and the WHO.
No need of those type of people in the RuneScape community. I myself have always used RuneScape as a way to escape from any real life issues and knowing that you stepped up and got rid of a real problem, makes me appreciate this game even more.
