Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening everyone my name is Messiah Abel and I have a great idea that I have pondered in my head for quite some time!

Duo slayer is a great way to get people you know either in real life or in-game to come together and kill those pesky mons within Runescape. But what's the point? All it is, is bringing someone along to do the same exact task as you. Imagine me and my friend, that is a lower level wants to duo slay and we get let's say iron dragons... I will kill them very very quickly. My partner on the other hand is very slow at this task and I am sitting and waiting for a good 30mins to an hour! What I propose is to MAKE DUO SLAYER GREAT AGAIN by implementing a different style of slayer within the game.

:::My ideas for such a feat:::

When engaging in a duo slayer task it should stay the exact same as it is now, my focus is mainly on the killing and experience portion.

Currently there is no experience share, or kill share within duo slayer and it's basically like a random coming beside you and killing the same thing.

==Experience==

This could either be implemented by sharing the complete experience overall or have a percentage of the kill to go to the partner as well.

**Let's say I kill a goblin and I get 100 slayer experience from it (obviously not to scale, but just for explanation purposes) and if I had a slayer partner that I have deemed to be my partner, he/she would then receive a percentage of the kill like 10 slayer experience.

[[con]] People have said this would be sort f like power leveling lower players
[[resolution]] Make the duo partners require to be the same (or almost the same) combat/slayer level

==The task==

When getting the slayer assignment there should be a way to have their kills count towards the current task of the other players you are partnered with.

**Example: Our current task is 100 goblins and I kill 1 of them... CURRENTLY it is still a full 100 count for my partner whilst I have 99. What I am proposing for this as well is when a partner kills a monster it should be subtracted from the current task of their partner.

==--== Please let me know what you all think about this!! And there is a lot more that could be added onto this specific topic. I've asked my clannies for a while about this and I've gotten nothing, but positive feedback. I WILL PUT ALL GREAT SUGGESTIONS BELOW==--==

I'd love to see if they were to make social slayer more appealing. I've compiled a list of improvements myself a while ago, if you like it feel free to use them:

- Accepting a new task now considers the block list of both players. If a player doesn't want to do certain tasks, they also probably do not want to do it in a co-op situation either. It still will only use the preference list of the accepting player.
- Significantly reduce (or just plainly remove) the slayer point penalty for doing co-op tasks. I think a reduction could be adequate if one partner significantly kills more than the other one, but everything between one player getting 40-60 % of the kills should be fine.
- Grant a slight (5 % or so) xp bonus when doing a slayer task with your partner present. I think that would be a better solution instead of granting xp for a foreign kill.
- Open up co-op slayer for ironmen with one another.
- Make it easier to group up for a task (e.g. when players use a special slayer mask and meet someone else at the task area). You currently need an enchanted gem (or any substitute) to actually invite someone.
- Allow Ushabtis to be purchased for 10 co-op points each.

Players still won't be able to use slayer masks to ensure certain tasks for social slayer, but some of those restrictions need to be lifted to get players to actually use it. This also would not only help players to just co-exist, but to actually benefit from one another.

I like the general idea. But what if the task a partner and I were on was a task I enjoy, and didn't want my kills to go down when the partner kills one? I think Duo Slayer interface and how everything works should be cleaned up too. Like you can keep a partner until you are ready to leave said partner. So you wont have to have both people there and then re assign him as a partner and then get a task.

So whats your take on this OP?

Why?

You can already buy them with normal slay points thus no point.

Well, the idea of a separate point group between co-op and normal slayer could be a thing. I did not put this into account, but it could work. I would think the slayer store (in my opinion) could stay the way it is. Just mainly change the way duo slayer works mechanically.
