Playing RS3 and OSRS on the same account - do they share the same playtime, combined?

You could easily try with a new account. Play a while one game (several hours), and go to the other and talk to Hans. The RS Wiki needs a hand, and Bwian's will gladly take the rest of your body!

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Both games share the same login server credentials. So you can't log into both at the same time with the same character.

So can't log into both with Tranq at the same time. It will error out saying that I'm already logged into the game.

Can log Tranq into one and my alt into the other at the same time though.

Quick answer: No

Speaking with Hans in each game reveals that while the reported account age is the same in both games, the reported play time will vary based on the amount of time you've played the version of the game you talk to Hans in.

Mmmm.. not referencing account age nor the ability of playing both versions on the same accounts, folks. Asking if I play 1 hour on RS3 and 1 hour on 07scape (on the same account), it'll show up as 2 hours played in Runemetrics. Or, if RM only totals time played in EoC.

Ig I worded the question poorly.
