So I was saving up for bonds for Premier Club, but I noticed that gold was ending on whatever date it ended on. Due to a combination of misreading and optimism that I'd be able to at least make enough for silver, I was still playing and saving to get bonds for silver Premier Club.

On double checking today, it looks as though the entire Premier Club promotion has ended. Again, my fault for misreading, but it's still unfortunate. I'm really just not motivated to play the game now, and I really feel like my hard work was wasted.

Why not at the very least have the six month promotion available until there are less than six months left in the year, and the three month promotion available until there are less than three months left? Seems like a missed opportunity for sales to me. I'm actually considering just not playing the game at all now, even as f2p, since I missed the Premier Club promotion after putting in the work I did for it.

It's 50% extra daily keys for 6 to 12 months. That adds up. Also, putting in the work for something and then not being able to get it is very demotivating. That goes for anything. Grinding something out for an extended period of time only to not be rewarded for your efforts is the exact reason that I quit World of Warcraft.

well you now made x amount of gp. you can use that on whatever you wish with in game 99s 200ms armour weapons. whatever your poison is.

if you now quit. then yes your effort is wasted. if you use what youve created now then its not wasted is it

Suppose I'll make a decision after I finish up with what I had gathered, since I'm very close to that. Though I really don't see myself keeping an interest after I'm done. I had a specific goal in mind, and plans for after reaching that goal, which I was nearly done reaching. Sure I could put the gp toward other things, but those other things aren't what I was working toward, and even if I were to put that gp toward standard membership, maxing skills, or whatever else, it's still going to nag and gnaw away in the back of my mind that I didn't achieve what I wanted. Furthermore, it instills the fear and lack of confidence in myself that in the future I may do more work of a similar fashion only to not meet my goals. Not fun.

You would not have enough for Silver Premier Club anyway since The Silver and Bronze offers expired at the end of the first week of February as scheduled. Jagex only extended the Gold package to March.

Jagex may run a mid-summer membership offer like they did the last couple of years again too, but it is not guaranteed to happen this year.

I had various questing and skilling objectives I was planning on doing after getting it. I also had other moneymaking things planned after I got it. There were also certain cosmetic overrides that I was going to make a beeline for. I could still do all of that just getting standard membership, but I'll feel like trash the whole time since I still won't have made my first proper goal to begin with. I understand that it doesn't seem like a big deal to a lot of people, but it is to me.

Yes. I am fully aware of this now. However, I wasn't before when I set my goal for Premier Club. I can give you a rundown of what unfolded.

I came back to the game from a decently long hiatus after the news posts saying that Bronze and Silver Premier Club would be ending, but Gold would be extended. I did not see them. What I did see, however, was a post that talked about when Gold would be ending, and it only said Gold would be ending. Nothing about Bronze and Silver.

Now then, when I went to the purchase page for Premier Club, it still displayed the table with all three packages. In my mind, because all three packages are shown on the table on the purchase page, all three seem to be available. The news post I've read has said that Gold is ending soon. As I haven't seen that Bronze and Silver have ended already, it makes sense in my mind that they wouldn't be ending, because there are still more than six months in the year.

I do calculations and realize I'm not going to be able to make the gp in time to get bonds for Gold. Fine. I'll go for silver instead. Remember, the latest news post I've read only talks about Gold ending, and Bronze and Silver are both still showing in the table on the purchase page, so I have no clue that they've ended.

Fast forward to today, and I'm almost done doing the things I've been doing for gp for bonds, and I decide to double check the table on the purchase page to see what you get with the Silver package, only to find that Premier Club is completely unavailable for purchase. Nothing but disappointment and frustration.
