Hello,

since the Mining&Smithing rework, the timer to mine a full shooting star is extremely high. Before the update, we could mine a full lvl 2-3 star in approx. 1 hour, now we are mining almost 2h for the full star at 2 ppl...

Please Jagex, can u fix the timer of it? 2 hours work for 3 levels and 15 minutes bonus isn't worthed at all...

Kind regards,
Gregs

It must have been a big star then! You can go to more populated worlds so mining the star goes faster. The RS Wiki needs a hand, and Bwian's will gladly take the rest of your body!
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

On german worlds u can't find no players who want to mine the shooting stars, cause it's taking too much time right now... We are max 2-4 per shooting star and we are minind only lvl 3 stars cause it takes so much time. If you ask there ppl to mine with u, every1 says: no thanks, it takes too much time...

What about english worlds? World 3 is very populated, mining one there should be quick. The RS Wiki needs a hand, and Bwian's will gladly take the rest of your body!

To be honest, I've mined some shooting stars when the rework came out and
I think there is a bug with this D&D
. Whatever the star size is or the number of people mining, it was always staying there the whole 2 hours before the sprite would appear. Also, I didn't receive any gems nor geodes with the 4-5 stars I mined for 2 hours.

I have to admit that the amount of xp gained (per hour as well) was quite insane compared to what a star could give before, including the fact that it is more afkable than mining rocks but in reality it's also because I was there mining the same "rock" for 2 hours non-stop.

Unfortunetly, I stopped mining shooting stars because I don't have 2 consecutive hours in my free time to be able to complete the D&D to obtain the rewards.

In addition, I sincerely think that the rewards (items) have to be reviewed. However, the mining experience rate and the 15 minutes mining's buff after the D&D are completly fine.

My suggestion : If the time lenght is to stay as it is now, 2 hours, I would remove the 200 dusts' max cap to allow bigger rewards.
By example, current item rewards for 200 stardusts are ... 152 cosmic runes, 52 astral runes, 20 gold stone spirits and 50,002 coins.

If we remove the 200 stardusts' cap, we could get something like this...

** 200 stardusts **

152 cosmic runes
52 astral runes
20 gold stone spirits
50,000 coins
** 300 stardusts **

228 cosmic runes
78 astral runes
30 gold stone spirits
75,000 coins
** 400 stardusts **

304 cosmic runes
104 astral runes
40 gold stone spirits
100,000 coins

...and it would continue on this pattern

It would make this D&D more attractive and more competitive towards the current mining system which provides a lot of ores (potential smithing experience that the shooting star doesn't create).

Kind regards.
