this should be the perfect solution to metals dropping in value and smithable items not good for disassembly or alching.

You should be able to smith salvage
! :D

naturally, to make sure this stays profitable the original levels requiered to smith them should be the same. so even if you now are able to smith full rune with the new update, you should still require level 95 smithing to create Huge Plated Rune Salvage.

and to make sure they will retain their value despite of how common their ore has become, i suggest two possiblities:

A
. salvage items ought to require a lot more bars, like 20 rune bars to make medium plated salvage.
OR
B.
salvage items would require special bars to create, which will require 5x the amount of ore needed to make.

ALSO:
, already-complete weapons and armor
should be convertible to salvage
by dumping them in the furnace, - considering how long it takes to create smith items now, i see its fairly balanced.

please support my idea, i believe its enough to save our economy from this imminent crash

alching and disassembling smithing products is no longer profitable at all, since it takes ages just to smith 1 item, while the parts/gold reward is very low in comparison.

making salvage should be as fast and costly as much as the smithing prior to the rework

That irony when the problem the devs were trying to solve is the one you want back.

They made smithing slower so that bars will not be more expensive than the finished products.

if that's true then the update has failed. it takes about 32 rune bars to make a 2h+3. and it only seels for about 150k when the price of 32 rune bars is about160-180k
