I love questing in runescape, its just something that I can't quite explain. I don't PVM, mainly just slayer, I don't skill much, though i enjoy it more than PVM. Lastly I love chatting in clan and friend chats etc. Most of all though, the one thing I look forward to most are new quests and being able to experience the lore and the silly comedy jagex throws our way. It's the storytelling that really drives me to play.

I would Like to see a prestige system for questing for players who enjoy the questing experience. Offering cosmetic rewards for earning questing prestige levels. The way this could work would be that, for every quest completed again, would give u a prestige quest point, only 1 per quest unlike the original amount rewarded upon completion.

After 50 prestige has been earned you can unlock a cosmetic reward. now in order to prestige, all quests must be completed. this means as of now, 224 quests must be completed and u can visits the quest reward shop to prestige. for every 50 quests completed u can choose to unlock a perk or unlock a cosmetic item, consumables for quests/and distractions and diversions related to the unlocking after quest completion.

Honestly anything could be done to reward players for experiencing quests they've been missing or feeling nostalgic about for years. just to get to experience them again would be quite an adventure.

Having the ability to complete quests again would be very nice, certainly if a new quest follows on a quest you did ages ago. Reading the article on the Wiki isn't really the same.

No need for rewards for me though, but I won't complain if Jagex implements them.

I'd rather be able to do some quests again without needing ALL quests completed first.
The RS Wiki needs a hand, and Bwian's will gladly take the rest of your body!

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

The Prestige part could be implemented to storylines such as the vampyre questline, after completing all of the vampyre quests you could prestige that questline only maybe. I'd have mentioned it earlier, but I like to hear suggestions. Maybe more of a completionist thing would be All questlines prestiged at least once or several times. just for a bit of the challenge. But also I think re-experiencing the quests again would also help players with little to no knowledge or forgotton lore, would be able to request during their prestige and be able to unlock special consmetic rewards at the same time give the player a refresher on the lore. Or maybe you want to set a record time completion for a quest. underground pass cough cough.

I am not really sure about the prestige part. Quests are an one-time experience, yes some are repeatable and offer rewards for redoing them - and that's perfectly fine, since it also allows you to see the thing in a different perspective. But quests certainly are nothing you would even want to play 50 times just to have the last prestige reward unlocked.

I see the systems of all dimension of disaster (a small set of buyable rewards, that is covered with six more completions (or whatever it was)), broken home (additional challenge based rewards - that does not work for most quests though) or sliske's endgame (horrible choice for a replayable quest, giving out a cosmetic reward for replaying it once, allowing you to re-discover a secret, you could've permanently missed out in your first attempt) as fine.

Some quests are so broken from a modern perspective though you'd only want to do them once (and I say this as somebody who likes questing and lore related stuff, but now imagine somebody who sees that already as a chore) - for those even giving an incentive to torture yourself through them a second time is a bad idea.

Prestige is more for players who would like to enjoy a redo of their favorite quest line, no real rewards, except for cosmetic. quests, don't have to be a one-time experience. In every game we have dailies, and repeatable quests, but since runescape quests are more diverse and unique in their build, that it would be a prestigious feat completing them again, this would allow for players to simply re-experience past story lines, and maybe catch on to something that they didn't notice before like watching a movie. in one watching of a movie, its hard to get every bit of detail, but if you watch it again, you might understand a little better after seeing the sequel then going back to review. for example: Doing certain sequels to quests in rs, there's some character i had to look up on wiki since I've basically forgotten in past quests of the series. Maybe I remembered how challenging the puzzles were and would like to do it again. this goes for all the player-base even for those who dislike questing. This would allow for players to truly enjoy the work jagex put into their quests, and they don't just sit in your quest log to rot and be forgotten.
