Moved to a better suited section.

Please let this be the last post on this topic you make. You have made more then enough now and had many many threads locked. It's becomming disruptive.

You know your only option is to Edit out the content you posted. There is no option to delete threads or posts you made years ago.

I think it would help us alot if we would have the option to delete our posts and/or threads.
I think that the words we write belong to ourselves and nobody else.
It's embarrassing to read the old posts we made over a decade ago.
Thank you for your understanding.

You do know you're posting on the internet right, so nothing is truly "personal".

So saying only you should know about your posts is lol at best.

Thus like said above and on all your other threads, this isn't possible.

Look Tuffy, i will stop writing about it once it is solved.
We have the right in my opinion to remove our own words and posts.
That includes threads and quotes made by others.

It is solved, you cant do this, just because you cbb to accept that fact isn't a cause for spam.

The Community have asked for this for as long as I can remember. I've been here a very long time and it's still not been added.

I can't see it being added any time soon or in the distant future.

So no matter how many threads or posts you make about it will not help.

My opinion is Jagex won't add it.

You have 1 option really and thats to Edit out all your comments you want hidden.

My answer: Legacy forum software.

As long as Jagex keeps this legacy forum software instead of discarding it with a newer one, we're stuck with whatever features it has unless Jagex invests man-hours to implement minor changes here and there.

I might well be wrong here but there's something at the back of my mind telling me that if you have your forum account permanently deleted by Jagex (at your request) then all posts and threads by you vanish (idk if that goes for posts by a user that are "quoted" by another users at any point).

It's quite a faff getting your account deleted and I can't swear that all trace of your existence goes with it but it might be worth researching.

Also, I don't know if any such posts/threads, once deleted, would still be able to be seen in some archived format or other.

And lastly I'm not sure if your actual playing account is deleted in the process. Probably is.

But really, why even worry about what you posted a decade ago. I doubt anyone is terribly interested.

Your suggestion is flawed for two reasons:

1. If a poster could remove all of their own posts at any time, they could go on a flaming rampage and evade responsibility for it by employing the tool.

2. Your right to delete your own words should not extend to being a right to delete OTHER PEOPLE's words on threads which you happen to have started.
