You are correct about the Conquest rank. I have a feeling unlocking all songs will not be removed from the cape because as you said this would ensure the player at least seen everything. I can agree to that, as long as we stop there and then don't say that Trim has to go beyond that and complete every content in RS, because I do not think Trim should mean you completed the game. That's the Hiscore's job. My process here is making a clear definition for "completionism" and criteria for requirements, then adhering to them as closely as possible.

I've heard many people throw in the idea of obtaining a certain percent of the maximum Runescore being a requirement with the two capes having different thresholds. I disagree with this because any reasonable threshold that we could come up with could be easily obtainable through doing the easier achievements that award a crap ton of Runescore. There will always be silly achievements intended for fun. I can see how people can view Runescore as being an accurate representation of in-game experience but I disagree.

I believe Runescore only has one job and that's for the hiscores like experience is to the skill hiscores.

This is an extremely important point, which I already tried to bring up for the new achievement suggestions (which actually mostly were fitting for their effort - I can't remember anything that would even be closely as off as a 'Helwyr with 4 wolves alive'-achievement) - basically many combat achievements are extremely overrated, while other stuff is barely rewarding at all. If they were to adequately fix them, it could actually work.

Thing is it currently is extremely random what ends up on a cape or not (and well - on which one exactly). There is stuff on comp, which belongs on trimmed, there is stuff on trimmed, which belongs on comp, there is stuff on either cape, which just should be an achievement (conquest, the *current* cw req, big chinchompa score) or well stuff that is just an achievement despite it belongs on a cape (e.g. unlocking all abilities) or not being featured at all (too many examples).

I guess the main advantage of that dynamic requirement would be that job would be shifted from jagex to the players (in order if they want to complete a non-core task or not). But yes - your list actually is well elaborate. I wonder though what your thoughts on trimmed would be (as that list features quite a bit of stuff, which would extend the capabilities of your character still).

What I do think though there are completables (I mean simple achievements could be entirely excluded and just kept as fun actions), which can't be fairly treated just with two tiers.

While I would prefer fixing content by changing some values to more adequate ones (CW, Champion Challenge, but also real stuff like the black ibis set), Jagex state sadly sorta is something like 'if something sucked once, it has to suck for all eternity', as they do not want to trigger certain types of players (I mean some even go bonkers just because of some slight QoL improvements to poorly designed content) - so that stuff has to be fully isolated. This said I am sorta surprised they brought up that comp rework at all, despite admitting they do not want to change it fitting towards those guidelines they had posted in the HLFs many years ago.
