Not many other MMOs update the game every week. Does expecting a massive update every single week mean the runescape community is spoiled? Can't we learn to accept that there are patch weeks and smaller updates? We can't have an expansion every month. Am I the only one who feels this way?

In theory it could mean that I guess, but in practice, has anyone actually expected massive updates every week?

Other than that, I think it's the other way around: Jagex is spoiled with all the MTX sellout and expectations of infinite financial growth. It's unsustainable long term to expect your profits to always keep growing, when there's only a limited amount of money in the world. :P

RuneScape still holds the Guinness World Record for "Most prolifically updated MMORPG videogame":

Nope, I feel the same way.

Sometimes just fixing existing problems makes the game a whole lot better for everyone.

If you do look at other MMO's their updates tend to be much larger than RuneScape updates. So they actually have new content to last them months and not just a couple of days.

Personally I don't mind patch weeks, and I wouldn't go as far as to call us spoiled.

I already agree with these type of updates and welcome them always.

I agree. Necessary for fixing things, some QOL updates and at times some small graphical updates.

Also worth noting that there is also a series of hidden updates released (usually) on a weekly basis, which is also welcome.
