So I was wondering if bossing is a safe event to do in RuneScape3? I ask this question because in RS2 bossing was not a SAFE event to do in RuneScape2 I have worked hard for my armor and weapons in game and would like not to lose them on a death from a misclick or dc...I have put so much time in getting this armor that I would like not to lose it on bossing in RS3 from death so I asking the community what they think?...

Haaay, Helpdream :)

Everything in your toolbelt and moneypouch is safe.

When you die you will end up at the office of Death. You can pay Death a fee to get your remaining items back, the fee depends on the value of your items. You can also pick and choose which items you want to reclaim or to lose.

You can still go to your gravestone and reclaim items, but items that are degradeable will lose charge if they arent protected, you're able to protect 3 items max. But be careful for instances because I don't think you're not able to have a grave in instances

Only boss I can think of that's safe on death is Kiln and fight cave

Most bosses have a practice mode that is safe on death but gives no drops

playing since 2003 i know what ur asking. The answer is Yes, it is Safe.

in old times if u died u would drop all items (cept 3 or 4 if prayer up) and people could get them. Now , when u die (outsite wildy) u'll keep all items at deaths office wich will cost like 200-900k deppending on wich items u were using.. so yes, its safe (900k for items that would be worth 500-600m or more).

Even in OSRS the death is way safer, it takes a long time for the items to show up for people arround... so u can die and run to get them back in time..

Thanks for your replies and feedback. It just seems working so hard in this game.. to grind high level gear and stack money, all to just lose it on death in the game .so I was wondering if you do die, do you go to death office ?right? Then you have to pay a fee for your items..is it like a 10% fee? How does it work?

bossing seems to be good fun. but if its not safe then there is an issue with the game I think. Some of you may not think its a big deal but if I am wasting my time to gain high level high cash items I would like some reassurance on death.

Death is not safe at most bosses unless in practice mode. However, if you die, you don't lose everything like you used to back then. Death holds your items for like a day. To get them back, you must pay a fee. This varies depending on what you're wearing.

You can read more about Death here: https://runescape.wiki/w/Death_(mechanic). If you scroll down to the reclaim costs section, you'll find a reasonable explanation with some calculations. It should be helpful.

It's a better system and less riskier than before. If you disconnect and die, your items aren't in jeopardy. Just pay the fee and it's yours again.

There has to be some risk with bosses. That's part of what makes bosses so lucrative to kill. You also want to discourage dying and not make it something that doesn't matter. Death is supposed to hinder.

Dying is only a huge cost when you're learning a new boss. This is to be expected. Think of this as you investing your time and money for greater returns in the long run. Once you get decent at a boss, you stop dying and end up making much more than you lost when learning.

Hey, that's a great question!

If you are bossing and die, you will not lose items and have to run to find them again, they will be kept on death and redeemable for a small fee.

If you are in the fight kiln or fight caves, you will be completely safe and dying will have no negative affect and merely teleport you outside of the fight caves.

If you are a Hardcore Iron-man, bossing will cause you to lose your Hardcore status, or the account unless you have extra lives.

Cheers,

Depends:

1. Will you run to gravetone?
If no go to 2 if yes go to 3

2. Pay death a percentage of total items risked.

3. Were you in time?
If no go to 2 if yes go to 4.

4. Are you risking double graves by bringing in items enroute to gravestone?
If yes go to 5 if no go to 6.

5. Did you die?
If yes go to 7 if no go to 8

6. Did you die a second time?
If yes, go to 2 if no go to 8

7. You lose everything in first grave. For second grave risks please start again from step 1.

8. Do you have degradable items?
If yes go to 9 if no go to 10.

9. Are those degradable items protected?
If yes go to 10 if no go to 11.

10. Congratulations! Your death was risk free!

11. Lose charges or divine charges on any degradable non protected item.

I got such a good read @Aria Ventus that I saved that so when someone asks in clan i
can at least tell them the short easy version. If I do i will make sure to let them know
it came from you.

Fantastic though !!!
