Reporting the individual in-game would be the best action. Jagex don't review the forums looking for individual reports.

You should also send details of the links to reportphishing@jagex.com and report the video to YouTube itself,so it can be taken down.

I'd recommend you remove the name of the player and the link. Naming and shaming is against the forum rules and by posting the link, you are giving the scam some free advertisement.

Note: I've hid the original post, and will repost it with the info redacted.

Please don't name & shame other players on the forums, and please don't include phishing links even if you're giving people a heads up as this could leave the door open to players checking it out anyway, and falling victim to the scam.

As Trewavas mentioned, please send an email with the details/links to reportphishing@jagex.com.

Thanks for looking out for the community!

Ingame account name: "username redacted" was advertising this YouTube video, do not click the link, it's obviously a fake link that he's claiming is the forums but actually will link to a fake login most likely to steal your password. gg.gg has nothing to do with runescape >.> Just trying to end this guy's lil scam before it even gets rolling.

I don't understand what's so wrong about naming and shaming someone who's shamelessly hacking people but ok, I'll send the email.

As there is no way to provide evidence from Jagex's systems on the forums, accusations here come down to one player's word against another. (Screenshots are not considered evidence as they are too easily manipulated)

It is also very possible that the account named is actually a hijacked account that the hijacker is using until it's owner recovers it.

How anyone falls for any phishing scam is just beyond me.

You have bank pins, authentication and other security measures. If you still get hacked/scammed, you have legitimately told them all of the above... There really is no other way around it.

And if you did, well sorry, but you deserve it.

Because anyone can lie on the forums to make someone look bad who actually did nothing wrong, and there is no way to prove it true or false through a forum post. Just because someone said it on the forums doesn't make it true.

The way to report is in game, where evidence can be shown using in games systems including the chat.
