Hati & Sköll MTX?!
Quick find code: 15-16-599-66077596
I can fully understand why the reactions are like this.
While most MTX promotions jagex has used lately weren't really that bad (you just could do it with a bit of effort, I just wish they weren't as time restricted as they are - or allow the rewards to be obtained through some ingame content after the promotions ends - lots of stuff could be interesting enough to make minigames - or other content - more appealing again) - and they haven't caused too much trouble if you missed out on them (i.e. items with permanent powerful effects), some in the past really were vile:
Bingo cards (the first ones were quite nice, then some really were awful, but those also have gotten better lately again), Elite outfits (I wish they just would keep their promise making them available ingame after 6 months the latest - both hunter and woocutting were released 2 years ago or so), those 'you have to use hundreds of keys to complete it'-promotions (I hope they won't ever use one of those again), the initial gather x stuff promotions (nihil, pirate, furies,... - miss out on a few days over several weeks and you're fucked when not spending money - really they made me even despise a charity action they've linked to it due to this - I am glad they were fixed now), elite outfits, skill outfit head addons - and probably tons more of stuff I've forgotten about meanwhile. Of course the reactions aren't too positive after such an history.
Either way - MTX can come in a lot of shades. A bit of differentiation doesn't hurt. Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2

No flaming people please.
You said you won't be back to read it so you get a short reply. No point wasting my keyboard. Comprehensive Account Security
The Valkyrie Feathers have a "convert" option. Perhaps we can convert them into "mystery boxes" after getting 20k of them?
after getting 20k of them?
You dont see that as an issue?
Limit was 10k (Plus daily cap removal, example of which is clockwork promo which had 10k total progress needed and no daily cap limit)
You dont even need to complete the event to receive mystery boxes.
Limit is now 20k
You need to complete event to spend even more currency on mystery boxes
You don't have to spend a cent so stop whining.
If other people want to donate money to the game to make it free for the rest of us then who ****ing cares.
I love the game & fun fact it's a business, you just whine for the sake of it when you know it is the way it is.
If you don't like it, **** off!
You're not forced to be here.
I love the game & I know most if not all of the J-Mods really care about this game, not only because it's their job.
Some of them grew up with this game.

And then I read the update post for this week, and my reaction was something along the lines of "oh, its this again."
Not saying I necessarily dislike this kind of event - being able to attain all of the rewards through a few hours of normal gameplay a day for the duration of the event is greatly appreciated and I prefer that over the events that require one to pay-in to get all the rewards. However, there was a great opportunity for some unique playable content when they initially described it, so its a little bit of a let down to see it was really just the same temporary event rebranded once more.
It is good that the actual wolf killing is still around, and wasn't entirely replaced (which really would have changed the feel of the entire event) - still something that a few clanmates and I can group up and do, and I suppose there's now an incentive to do it daily considering you can get feathers from doing it daily, too.
Also, I noted the Wiki stated that Mining and Smithing gave the 20% bonus feathers for this event - though I can understand that with the recent focus on Mining and Smithing after the rework, I would have preferred that come from the skills that Hati, Sköll and Fenrir can enhance - combat, woodcutting & agility, and the skills that Eir can enhance, prayer and divination.
As for the wolves, there is actually a fourth one. I'm not sure if the fourth one has always been there, I don't remember it last year.
It's called Frank and it spawns near the Ice Strykewyrm cave, north of the lodestone. Kill it, hand in the item that it gives to Eir and then return to the location that you killed it.
'Idk if this will work this way but previously in events in the past if you just wait till the event is over it automatically converted your left over currency into something you can buy boxes with so I never had to do the full cosmetic thing before buying the boxes. Not sure if this ones different however.'
Can anyone verify this statement? Does this usually happen in events?
