Just a few things come to mind, which probably have been pointed out by others as well.

I personally am happy with this decision, but:

1. I hope more capes are implemented in the future, so comp and trimmed aren't the only thing to aim for after max.
2. Hope the music maestro achievement is addressed as well (and any other achievements which may be indirectly linked to reaper, if there are some) otherwise it just doesn't make sense.
3. Hope the people that put the time and effort in castle wars are rewarded accordingly.

Other than that, thanks for the changes you intend to do.

This, I agree, might be a bit of an issue. If the stats are going to be tied to the Reaper, at least I feel it needs to be separated in SOLO and GROUP, with different stats for each. That might be a bit better, maybe?

I guess it will be released alongside of one of the patch weeks afterwards (probably the one on june 24th). Today was too soon since the last dev blog came in at some point last week with the mention that while most things are set in stone now, some smaller details still might change.


You're right, of course, I'm just impatient :).

The halo is being reworked, they said in the twitch stream yesterday, the new designs look much nicer :). Regarding the achievement, do you really thing an endless grind is a matter of prestige? I hope they add more requirements in the future, but the cw one should have never been there. I'm sorry for whomever has already gotten it, but mistakes like this should be acknowledged and corrected, not left there for the sake of "prestige". That's just my opinion of course.

While I somewhat agree that some grind should be on the trimmed, the cw one is not a good example for me. It's mindless, exagerated and it's not played as it was supposed to. Pre trimmed, pre counters, I used to play A LOT of castle wars. I did enjoy the minigame. I've been back for about a year now, gave it a try again and it's definetely not the minigame that it used to be, it's broken like unfortunately many other minigames, from what I was able to see. I'm all for more requirements on trimmed and I do hope they add more, but the cw achievement is not a healthy one, game wise or human health wise, for that matter. In my opinion of course. Regardless of how many people have done it.
If they do find a way to fix it, let it be back on the cape. As it is now, it really doesn't belong on any cape.

With how our feedback has been considered so far, I have a feeling we'll log in one Monday (maybe next Monday) with this simplified version implemented, no real changes made, and us left to live with the result. (I've officially become one of the skeptics I used to see on the forums and cringe over because they could only say negative things, lol).


I was hunting for news on other platforms, it looks like it's still going live in June, so that leaves only next week. I really, really don't understand why they aren't even trying to let at least one Jagex mod respond consistently on the forums, so that we are not forced to look for bits of information here and there.

I think the aura might not be included because it's available through bonds as well.

That doesn't explain why the ring of death overcharged was excluded as well. It also wouldn't be the first piece of content that could be drastically sped up by the use of MTX.


Had no idea about the ring of death (I unlocked it, presuming it was needed). I agree with you, I was just looking for a plausible reason for the aura. I hope this won't be the trend, excluding more and more content from reqs.
