I'd like to start a petition.

So I have.

Here (below, for the pedantic, obviously).

I'd like Luminite added as a recoverable resource from Miscellania.

I've read your notes on this: you think coal has a 'value' because it will still be used. Its value wasn't much before this, now it's limited e.g. to ores that have historically and still will have now very little use. You haven't really dealt with the problem that the earlier tiers of items quickly become redundant: giving them some limited use in upgrades isn't enough. Some things e.g. making grapples only available to be made from Mithril or certain weapons only to be made at one tier is sensible, but if you're going to do that you have to make it something like the case where a core item is made at that level and then improved by the addition of higher tier metals e.g. Grapple mark II is made of Mith and 10 Addy bars, for example.

At Aviansies just now I received a number of spirits in place of bars. So I have to mine to get an ore that I then need Luminite for. Then I have to smelt it. This does not equal the previous offering of 6 pcs of coal and 1 pc of Adamantite already smelted. So you've short-changed me demonstrably.

In addition, while (I believe) the cost of maintaining Miscellania has been lowered the obvious thing is that people will shift from the less profitable resources to the more which thus affects supply, demand and recoverable value or 'nerfs' it. To add Luminite e.g. via a miniquest would mean that previously accessible items (higher tier ores as was) would still be accessible in that recs from Misc could be used with them. Otherwise to some extent you skew the benefits of Luminite which is far worse than coal to mine relatively speaking.

Also, as you clearly can do this could you make it so that once my inventory is full with bars the default choice is deposit rather than requiring a right-click please?

I apologise for my English: it is my first language and I do know it.

And can you change the 'withdraw all' option to something manageable please? I don't want every ore back every time.

Thank you.

You can already do this.

Bring up the metal-bank interface, right-click the ore or bar you want to withdraw, and you'll see the more familiar "Withdraw X" option which lets you withdraw a specific amount of a specific item.

This is a very reasonable request. Not only is coal now needed only for steel and mith, the amount of coal needed has also been substantially lowered, making it costing money to collect coal from Misc as the price has dropped so much. For now I will just allocate the workers I had put in coal to herbs, although they will start dropping too when everyone does this. When that happens I may just leave my subjects to their own devices...

Yes please.

Coal's "use" is smelting the lower bars and feeding the smithing auto-reheater.

I'll agree that luminite can be given in misc after a quest reward. As much as I loathe quests, this I can agree to as long as the cost is balanced ofc.

No to items needing different bars to improve/create, that's what Masterwork is for. Doing it to other items will just overly complicate things.

As to PvM drops, ehh sorry I ain't got no sympathy tbh. Even the 30% reduction at some (not nearly all as some would like you to believe) is justified. That original profit was supposed to be skiller's anyway, they just gave it back. Not every kill/trip should profit. If you want steady earnings, go skill. PvM was always RNG based

PvM still makes 2-10x as much as skilling even after the reduction. Complaining about making more money than everybody else is just.. Yeah.

Just because skilling is boring and PvM is fun, doesn't mean all profits should go towards the fun activity. Entertainment has it's own value.

They'll add higher-tier'd spirits eventually simply because everything is already almost at alch-value, which who didn't see that happening even though they swore it wouldn't (lulz)

Personally I don't care if they add higher-tier'd spirits or not, it's not gonna fix the impending doom of Masterwork nor will it lower the already-near-alch value of ores/bars.

I don't see why we'd have to do extra tasks to get a resource that is equal to what coal was before the M&S update. After all, Royal Trouble already requires the completion of a whole series of quests, and the ability to collect (amongst other things) a much used resource like coal was a great reward. That reward has lessened significantly now, and luminite taking it's place or being added as an extra option like with mahogany and teak only follows logically in response to the changes caused by the rework.

maybe make it a royal trouble reward and then the hard diary task will let you earn geodes from miscellania as well, like birds nests from logs.
