Hey guys, so recently there's been a lot of people supporting ideas that boost xp rates. One such example is the sandstone poll, which would have made it possible to collect the equivalent of 24.3k buckets of sand per hour. Now, everyone knows that this only impacts ironmen as normal accounts don't use this method, but it was still people voting to speed up xp rates. I'm not sure if it was all normal accounts trying to devalue the achievements of ironmen that have already grinded crafting, or if ironmen accounts actually wanted to increase their xp rates so much, but I'm still concerned with players wanting to boost xp rates.

So, where do you stand with increasing xp rates? Are you wanting everything to be faster? Or happy with the xp rates currently available and don't want everything to be too easy? Thanks!

...I was going to make a thread, asking if we want OSRS to become RS3. Right now we are heading in that direction, aside from combat ever changing.

I don't like xp shoved in my face, down my throat or up my ___.

Of course I always hear from players that if xp rates do not increase, then all new content will become dead content. I kinda get it, but then again I don't. Can't we just have alternative methods with similar xp rates? ex. method for best afk, best per hr, most fun. :)

I love OSRS I want to see it grow and it's player-base to continue to grow. I guess if that means higher xp rates around every corner... but still players are gonna feel some type a way when 2 years from now a skill can be completed in half the time it took them.

Regardless of how this plays out, as long as I CAN NOT buy my xp, I'll be happy. (Also bot reduction, will help keep me playing) - had to sneak that in there.

*Didn't even realize the sandstone poll was directed mostly towards ironmen. I guess I should keep a more open mind to these things. Ironmen deserve to get what they want imo, within reason; as long as the majority of them wants these additions.

I voted no to the sand stuff, but I thought the 24.3k/hour thing was fixed and it would have been much less than that? Either way it's a hard NO to any increases in xp rates from me. Making stuff easier ruins games imo, including RS2/3 back in the day. Anyone that wants catering to make ironman easier should be renamed wannabe-man and have their ironman icon replaced with a dunce hat.

But people knowingly voted yes when there was a method that'd have 24k/hour. I agree that making things faster and easier is bad though.
