Oziris (or Godziris) has to be one of the best ironmen this game has ever seen. However, he recently lost his HC status on Zonir Siiro at Cerberus to a disconnection. If we're gonna give nubnubs like b0aty who hold his team back at ToB on release, can barely beat the inferno, took like 3 trips to L2prayer flick Sara, and sold out for money then we should at least be trying to help out decent ironmen such as Godziris. Since luring nubnubs into the wilderness to be victims won't work, we should force them to anti-PK by preventing them from leaving the wilderness until they PK a couple of targets.

Btw Lord Godziris the Mighty beat the Inferno without ever touching Raids (no Kodai, rigour, augury, ancestral and definitely not a TBow). Since luring nubnubs into the wilderness to be victims won't work, we should force them to anti-PK by preventing them from leaving the wilderness until they PK a couple of targets.

You mention B0aty, however, B0aty (nor any other high profile HCIM) have not received their HC status back. There are some who choose to continue playing in an “unofficial hardcore” status, but their accounts are technically normal Ironman accounts.

It stinks seeing a HC die due to something out of their control, such as to a DC, but Jagex has been consistent on both games with regards to Hardcore deaths - if a player dies, that’s it, no matter what the cause of the death was.

Not entirely correct. HCIM that have died right before a rollback occurs have received their status back. Personally I think that Jagex should remove these people's statuses rather than let them have a second chance.

Anyway, I'm thinking that the OP is talking about Jagex giving items back to boaty or Jagex giving items to that other ironman a few days ago (but ignoring normal accounts that lost much more).

I agree with you though that is sucks when HCIM die due to Jagex's servers. It's probably the hardest boss in the game!

Send them into the Wilderness to slaughter the newly developed " Queen Lava Dragon " that patrols the entire Wilderness apart from the underground caverns.

1/5000 Chance of receiving a reinstatement of a HCIM status.

Then how did b0aty receive HC status back? Was it the rollback as Gozzzz stated? I'm against ANYONE receiving HC status back even after something as uncontrollable as a server disconnection but I only am making this suggestion after hearing that b0aty was given his HC status back.
Since luring nubnubs into the wilderness to be victims won't work, we should force them to anti-PK by preventing them from leaving the wilderness until they PK a couple of targets.

Excellent idea, support.

There's nothing Jagex can really do about this. As far as the data is concerned, they never died. Their accounts got rolled back to a point before they died, and anything that happened between then and the rollback was just deleted.

Maybe they would know who had their HCIM status restored in this way and I wouldn't be opposed to them removing statuses from those people. HOWEVER...

This is stupid. This would completely destroy the integrity of HCIM. If, at any point, you can just go restore your status (even by chance from a hard Wilderness boss), then death is meaningless.

HCIM means no deaths. It's astonishing to me that you'd want to fix people getting their HCIM back, but also support HCIM having a way to get their status back. People getting HCIM status back wasn't intentional, yet you still have a problem with it, so why would you support intentionally adding a way to get the status back?

You can't have both.

How does it destroy the integrity? It takes A LOT of risk and grinding to re-attain HC status back that way. Risk for reward as decreed in the mission statement by Lord Gower.

Then why did he go from a grey helm to maroon?

He doesn't have it back - he's using a RuneLite overlay to make it look like he has it, but he doesn't. He's acknowledged that in his stream numerous times over the past few days.
