Old school runescape has been made for those who have experienced the eras of 07 onwards (if not beforehand) and with ongoing updates make the game great bit at the same, losing a hit of the nostalgic feel of what old school is all about, with the pet updates, new bosses and activities such as raids, ironman modes, the game is forever expanding but there is one problem, the raw oldschool feel of what it was like to be really oldschool. That when i have come to the idea of giving you... OLD SCHOOL IRONMAN MODE! (By the way)

But no this is not just an ironman as you may have been wondering but it is a mode where you are limited like an ironman but have a different set of rules, some of which are allowed differently to ironmen and some which are new and iconic, a truly solid nostalgic feel to what the oldschool crave.

What is an oldschool ironman based on?
Well we all know that oldschool was amazingly rebooted by an 07 backup but why start there? Oldschool ironman starts from back when the time RuneScape classic ended and RuneScape 2 was born. January 2001. Providing veteran and oldschool players a whole new challenges in gameplay plus the education of RuneScapes history with their updates along the way, which the updates you use will eventually be a reward.

Oldschool ironman consists of starting as you would as if you were starting your account in the January 2001 era and you will have to complete everything you had to do in January 2001 before you can progress to later updates such as February update contents and so on, so certain options would be disabled by default and can only be configured until the date of that configuration has been released. This will also disable items such as bonds or later updated items to be used as bonds was an update that was put in the game post oldschool. And your only way of progression is by completing all of the quests, best in slot armour, and the available quests to level 10 minimum

The mode also modifies the drop tables of certain items and if not existed in the game at the time, would be unable for pick up but as again you can only pick up the items if you have got to the date it was put into the game at that point and onwards. No longer would you feel that imp catcher and dorics quests is just a quick buyable for sleazy xp will now make even the easiest quests a challenge that will only make you realize how difficult and in its own way rewarding content used to be. You coukd have this mode on certain worlds but its not nessecary. Also there would be a book or a special tracker tab specifically put into the mode that lets you keep log of the era you are in and the date your character is at, which will provide you information on restrictions and maybe a what to do section just incase you have no idea where to begin. You as jagex have a great knowledge of your game coukd even put a lore part of the current dates and add certain quirky illustrations or a few words to really push the Immersion forward to make the players go "oh yeah haha i remember that".

Runescape classic did not end in 2001, that's when it began. rs2 began in 2004. They did not have the coding for anything before 2007.

They have stated they do not want to split the game further.
Stop being a entitled snowflake. If you want something in game, earn it rather than demand it be given to you.
