Introduction

Wilderness Slayer was added to the game in on the 13th April 2017, it can only be completed in the wilderness by recieving a task from Krystilia and offers more reward points per completed task aswell as some additional monsters to kill plus a fairly useless enchantment for the slayer staff.

Suggestions & Improvements

Slayer armour - Add slayer armour (torso and legs) to the game which offers similar bonuses to; black d'hide, Rune armour and Mystic however they require 55 slayer to wear and each provide a 2.5% damage + accuracy bonus against monsters whilst on task similar to how the slayer helmet works, these items can be purchased as rewards and will turn break on death which must be repaired afterwards similarly to other untradeable items.

More monsters to hunt - Add more monsters to the wilderness to reduce the repitiveness of tasks.

Wilderness Slayer Boss - Add a wilderness slayer boss called the "Wilderness Horror" which roams the entire wilderness and can be located by using an ancient talisman purchased from Krystilia at Edgeville jail for reward points. The wilderness Horror would require level 65 slayer to kill and has a rare chance of dropping the Dragon Rapier which would have a special attack called "riposte" which boosts defence by 40% vs the next attack against you and hits the oponent twice for 20% more damage for the next attack against your opponent consuming 33% of the special attack bar. It's base stats would be somewhere inbetween a dragon sword and dragon scimitar. The wilderness horror would also have a chance to drop "Putrid Blood" which can be purchased from Krystilia's store reward shop to change the colour of the slayer helm

Improved loot tables - Improve the loot tables of monsters in the wilderness and give them more drops so that they are more worthwhile for both slayer and pkers alike.

Conclusion

These changes would make give the wilderness a lot more acitivity from both PKER and PVMER alike.

So the sword should max 75-80, 2x and increase defense and you can use 3x? Um no very op

Rest of it yea should be perks to wildi pking with the risk couple extra points isnt cutting it.

Wilderness Superior Bosses should've been added from the get-go.

& why the Imbued-Heart is only hidden behind Bosses in a safe part of the game, is just another fine example of a poor execution of another Wilderness update.

Support if it only works in the wilderness, is untradeable, and has a different set for each combat style.

It'd also be pretty cool to be able to unlock the ability for Wilderness Slayer monsters to drop these items, instead of just buying them directly. Either way.

I'm on board with this.

More diversity in Slayer locations means PKers have to spread out more, so you'd be less likely to get attacked by one, which is a-okay with me.

Okay with this idea, except...

No. I don't want more exclusive uniques being added to the wilderness. I'm sick of Wilderness lures.

The only way I'd accept this is if it could only be used in the Wilderness.

Even then, it's a bit overpowered, and should be nerfed a bit. The special attack should give increased accuracy, but attack instantly (like a Granite Maul), and consume 35% (can't do 33%) special energy so you can't do it 3 times.

Sure.

Absolutely not. No support for Wilderness lures.

Wilderness Slayer is for points, not for loot and XP. Let's keep it that way so there's still actually a reason to do non-Wilderness Slayer.
I'll keep score from now on.

Just because you don't like anything thats not 100% pure PK'ing int he wilderness doesn't mean other people should have to suffer.

It is all risk and reward, it is 100% fine for the rewards to be great because the risk is high.
And if people don't want that risk...then theres still normal slayer....which 99% of people do even though the slayer master for wildy exists.

Buddy, try actually reading my post.

I supported half of the measures put forth in this suggestion, and they are specifically non-PvP updates in the Wilderness.

What I don't want is more lures trying to bring non-PvPers into the Wilderness, especially for rewards that are useful in all areas of the game.

However, I'm more than content to make the experience for people who already go into the Wilderness for Wilderness Slayer a more enjoyable one, especially when the rewards are limited to the area they're obtained in.

There are are three kinds of Slayer, at the moment: Regular for XP, Konar for loot, and Wilderness for points. Anything that tries to disrupt the balance of those three styles of Slayer deserves a fat "NO."

No, there is nothing fine about wanting to increase the rewards to obligate more people into an area of the game they would otherwise totally avoid to be subjected to an aspect of the game they absolutely loathe.

Risk is fine; forcing people to deal with PvP isn't.

Yes, because the Wilderness sucks and people don't want to go there except for points, and just doing regular Slayer will earn you enough points over time as long as you're patient.

However, the option exists for those who want more points. By making Wilderness Slayer profitable, you are trying to eliminate that choice.

Instead of saying "Do I want more points or more loot & XP?", people would just be saying "I have to do Wilderness Slayer because it's more points and more loot."

That's not okay.
I'll keep score from now on.

No-one is FORCED to deal with it...how are you not getting this?

When wilderness content comes out, people aren't obligated to go do it, jagex don't go "you must spend 20 hours int he wildy on this new update!"

You either go experience the content, or you don't.
You are never once "forced" to deal with it.
If you don't like the content there? don't do it. because again, you aren't being forced to.
But the people that volunatrily go there for that new content? aren't forced to either.
There is 10000000000 ways to level up without the wildy, you aren't forced there to go for anything. at all.

Stop using the words "forced" and "lured"...they have literally no standing here lol.

Yes, they are. If they go into the wilderness, they are forced to deal with PvP, even if they aren't there to PvP.

Obviously they had a choice not to go into the Wilderness for Wilderness Slayer, so they aren't forced to go into the Wilderness, but buffing the drop tables is an attempt to remove that choice by making it less and less viable to do anything but Wilderness Slayer.

So you are correct when you say no one is forced to do Wilderness Slayer, just as no one is forced to wear armor or use weapons. They have the choice not to, but it's pretty obvious that they should, because it'd be a severe hindrance not to.

You should look into what obligated means.

To be obligated is to be obliged; compelled; committed; strongly bound by a sense of necessity to do something.

When you add Wilderness exclusive rewards that are useful in all parts of the game, you are obligating people to go into the Wilderness for those rewards.

When you make Wilderness Slayer the most profitable and the most Slayer Points, you are obligating people to do Wilderness Slayer.

You can make a case for saying forced is not an appropriate word choice, but you definitely can't say lured isn't appropriate.

A deer isn't forced to eat from a deer feeder, but the whole purpose is to be a lure for deer so the hunters can kill them.

"Lure" is definitely appropriate.

Yet it is forced to obey the Law of Gravity. The Pack is going to hunt regardless.
