support, why the hell should monsters drop ores, logs, bars, etc in ridiculous quantities. Make it fair for skillers as well, pvm drops for skilling!!
Bank notes and supplies left by previous adventurers who died trying to kill the boss?

You could fairly easily and reasonably explain why a difficult to kill boss monster might drop a hoard of treasure and goods.

From a gameplay perspective, in order for it to be economically viable to do any PvM content, there has to be somewhat valuable drops in between the exceedingly rare and extremely valuable drops.

Otherwise, pretty much every trip is going to be a net loss, and very few people are going to bother. No one enjoys working hard to do something and getting no reward for it, let alone being penalized for even trying in the first place.

They can't just make all those in-between drops alchables, either, as it causes massive rates of inflation due to the influx of gold entering the game as a result. As such, part of the reward has to come from the market value of the skilling resources the boss drops.

If you want to have a discussion about the effects that has on the game and why it isn't balanced properly, that's fine, but don't make the game worse just because you're upset about drop tables.

Taking away the reason to do PvM, i.e. unique drops, is not a viable solution to solving the problems with skilling. Instead, ask for skilling to be made more rewarding or fun.

I agree that skilling is not as rewarding as PvM. It's ridiculous that my thoughts on how to get lots of Pure Essence isn't to just mine it, but to instead do PvM. However, you'd have to reduce the amount of skilling resources you get from PvM so drastically that the drops would hardly be worth considering before it's slower than skilling.

And that's because skilling sucks right now.

Make Skilling Great Again.

But don't do it at the expense of other content.
There'd be no need for 3rd party clients if the default one was decent. I vote no to all non-PvP Wilderness updates, and yes to all PvP Wilderness updates. If you want to revive the wilderness, encourage players to PvP, not lure them to the Wilderness to be victims.

Just gotta see some consistency here.
I think it's fair to assume you think PvM giving an excess of skilling supplies is a bad thing, correct?

With that in mind, why would you suggest implementing consistency in that direction? If you think it's a bad thing, why do you want to extend that flaw to other parts of the game?

Abandon this suggestion and just make a thread to address the real problem: skilling isn't good enough anymore.

Hence, combat needs a nerf.
Depending on how you go about that nerf, I would probably agree.

However, taking unique drops from PvM and giving them away to skilling is not really the kind of nerf that needs to happen.

As such, I don't think this thread is really the right place to discuss the topic.
