I played this game over 10 years ago and put a LOT of time into it, i managed to recover another account with the username of momo_rulz but found no evidence of my hard work, thinking back I managed to remember a possible username, I then checked the validity of said username through the recovery system and discovered I was right in what i remembered (xmomorulzx). I recall a 99HP Cape and that's what lead me to remember. I cannot remember most of the information required to automatically recover said account but I have always had the same security questions throughout the past decade, I plead you reinstate my account and allow me to return to an account of veteran status that arguably shouldn't be left in the dust. I've tried multiple automated recoveries, even the recovery form i filled in wouldn't send (after 100 times of trying) and kept offering the the error code 500. It would be a shame to let all that hard work go to waste.

Hi there
Mo Mola

The account you have recovered probably only has game activity in RS3.
Have you tried the account in RS3?
OSRS is a brand new game, released in 2013 - while the same login/password will get you access to both games, your character is created and trained separately in each game.

With your recovery attempts on your other account, how quickly does the 'deny' email arrive after you submit your form?
- less than 10 minutes?
- more than 15 minutes?
Knowing the answer to this helps us to know where you are stuck.

The quickest, easiest way to recover access to an account only happens if you still have access to the linked email.
You can then just request a forgotten password email.
If you don't have access to the linked email anymore (or maybe never set one) you have go through the full 'recovery'.

Succeeding at recovery depends on being able to prove that you created the account.
Have a read of the Denied password resets page for tips about the kind of information Jagex want to see on the form.

I do not have access to the registered email, and cannot remember the password to the account. I've tried multiple times to sign in on the website alone and have had no luck. When taking the automated recovery route, my recovery request is denied almost instantly. When I do attempt a recover via a "maybe we can help?" tab i am unable to send an email due to error code 500, i have tried on multiple devices/search engines and have the same result.

An instant 'deny' is a bad sign.
Have you been able to remember any old passwords to the account?
It is essential to supply at least one correct old password, otherwise the recovery will auto-fail.

Are you certain about the login?
The 'Maybe we can help' button is more about getting the right login identified.
Once you get the login, you move on to recovery.

The error code is unusual for this type of request.

I have tried everything recommended, clearing cache, using different browsers etc. I remember one possible password and have tried it but it didn't work. I am 100% certain on the user name though. One hundred percent. I reckon the account is around cbt level 90. I would hate to see all that hard work go to waste.

For your security, the only way to contact Jagex to recover an account is by submitting password reset. So you're gonna have to keep trying until it goes through. Your tickets might be denied if you're not putting enough information or you're putting too much wrong information. You can put N/A on the stuff you don't know, but it's best to put as much info as possible. Try adding new stuff to it.

Also make sure you're trying to recover the correct account. If you made your account after November 2010, your login would be the email you use to login; otherwise, it'd be the account creation username (Ref: Forgotten Login). Also I can't find momo_rulz nor xmomorulzx on the hiscores, so you might be misspelling the name.

That being said, error code 500 indicates a connection issue...
- Clearing your web browser's cookies and cache files AND Flushing your local dns cache might fix it
- You might want to check that your DNS settings are set to automatic. If they're not working, you can try changing them to the Google DNS.
https://www.howtogeek.com/164981/how-to-switch-to-opendns-or-google-dns-to-speed-up-web-browsing/
- Also make sure that your computer's time is synced.
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-10-clock-time-wrong-fix
- Scan your computer for viruses with the Kaspersky Security Scan, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Malwarebytes Junkware Removal Tool, Malwarebytes AdwCleaner and RougeKiller.

If none of that helps, try disabling any plugins you might have on your web browser and turning off your antivirus to see if you can submit the password reset ticket.

And all else fails, you can send Jagex a website issue ticket Jagex to see if they can assist you further.
