Nex is Lifesaid: Jennettesaid: You cannot do every boss with legacy combat Well I can and a lot of other people can. Seems to be a you problem.
Jennettesaid: it is totally a bad idea to do anything harder than vind gwd2 using legacy combat because of the lack of abilities and no energy bar regeneration. You will be stunned/binded/bled and you have no movement abilities. Sounds like you are just too lazy to read up on mechanics.
3 def is LITsaid: You do realize that legacy combat is perfectly fine the way it is it doesnt need any other skills or options. It is legacy combat because it refers to pre EOC era. If you changed legacy combat mode at all it would no longer be legacy combat mode it would be another version of EOC combat. If you are having problems with the gameplay of legacy you should try using EOC instead. This would be a huge problem if this game mode was changed for the people that do not like EOC. Thanks.
Its very ironic that OP chooses not to use eoc but want lolgacy to be pretty much the same as it.
Mad Maziesaid: I think Legacy mode is fine (aside from certain animations), the problems come from certain mobs and encounters.
They shouldn't fix whats not broken and instead just change boss/mob abilities when the player is using Legacy mode. Fro example is a boss freezes you, you can click on yourself to break the ice or whatever instead of having to use an ability.
The amount of time that would probably take wouldnt probably be worth it IMO.
I mean the game isnt supposed to encourage ppl to use an outdated cb system as its outdated for a reason.
Jennettesaid: No and no thank you, Legacy wouldn't be outdated If these fixes were made so I wouldn't be trying to encourage people to use an outdated system because it would not be outdated anymore would it?
Uhh yes it would as lolgacy is meant to be the pre-eoc system.
Jennettesaid: I will not change my stance on this argument.
Jennettesaid: Yes I agree dual weapons are a problem in legacy combat mode, They are too weak, an option to make them a one item set would be cool, This could be done by using the mainhand weapon with the offhand?
The option could be reversed at any time by right clicking an selecting to separate, it would only work on sets.
This will help save space if you are using a dual set as a switch in eoc and legacy both.
Then hopefully damage would scale up similar to in eoc when using abilities, so dual weapons are no longer junk in legacy.
No they arent weak, you choose to use the lesser system thus they only appear weak.
Plus they're only t60 so they arent supposed to be any more powerful then they already are..
Jennettesaid: We need to even out the three combat modes so that they are no longer so different and then it will be purely an interface preference that makes you decide between one or the other. All three are eoc combat modes, it is time they were treated as such.
They are even out, what you want is lolgacy to be on par with eoc.
Why So Fishysaid: The part I bolded is incredibly important. This implies that Jagex DOES want players to have the choice between either Legacy or EoC for the entire game. By locking Legacy players out of certain content, Jagex is forcing players to use EoC. So, going off based on what they said earlier I see no argument for why Legacy shouldn't be allowed to do everything EoC has the ability do content-wise.
Uhh mainly due to the fact that jagex also said that they wont be doing updates for lolgacy alone.
