So over the past couple of weeks i have been getting emails about my accounts password being changed and my email being changed. THESE EMAILS ARE SCAMS however, as none of the things have happend to my account (i checked as i got the emails ofcourse) These emails look very legit and convincing, so i fear they may trick other people. They always contain a link in which you have to use your log-in details.. i reckon thats the way they get your details. the sender of these emails is as follows: (

ofcourse i want these emails to stop so i was wondering if there was some sort of way to contact jagex so they could look into the problem somehow, but everywhere i look it is extremlty difficult to get any sort of contact information.. which highly bugs me..
Is there no way to get in touch with jagex about this or is it even something they can do anything about? i mean it is an email using their games name, they should be able to do something about it?

Hi Lordsponge.

There's a very good thread here with lots of information to help you recognise fake emails:
Is this a Jagex email? [Info]

I'm afraid there's not a lot you can do to stop receiving these emails. The 'from' address on an email is easy to fake, so are often a real Jagex email address. You can't rely on the 'from' address to judge the authenticity of an email, and if you block the emails, you may also block legitimate emails from Jagex.

The best thing to do is create a brand new email account that you use only as your Runescape account's registered email. If you don't use the address for anything else, then it won't get on any of the lists that phishers use to target people with emails like this.
Glad to be of service :) (Powered by GPP™ - Share and Enjoy!)
