As much as I'd like to be able to see my character wearing a party hat, this would completely devalue them as people could get the cosmetic effect via real-world money.. unless you're planning to let Jagex charge tens/hundreds of thousands of USD on them, in which case it'd work. :P

If they charged too little, they'd be devalued and their historical value would be lost.

If they charged enough, nobody would buy them from Jagex, as it'd be cheaper to buy bonds and use the gp gained that way to buy them instead.

So either way, this just wouldn't work.

Plus, there's the morality aspect of it: is it really right to take away the exclusivity of veteran RSC players having access to them? It's one of the same issues that I raised over the token system for the Premier Club, this year.

Yet who ever said phats are to be restricted to rsc players only?...

Though I don't necessarily see a problem with new colors being introduced, I feel like at this point that Jagex is not going to implement this. If they were going to, it would have a long time ago. The financial gain from temporarily or even permanently throwing new colors into the game would be huge; even players know that.

I'm still on the fence about throwing the current colors in, but at this point they're so far unreachable to most players through legitimate means and that in itself can be subjectively considered as wrong. I understand the prestigious factor, despite them being truly admirable years ago, but at this point in age there's really nothing much left to lose.

Untradeable discontinued items are a slightly different story.

Id just like an alternate way of getting a phat w/o having to spend a lifetime just at a very small chance of getting one.

So if jagex were to release them for like a day or so, that be good enough for me.

Well you can always lend one, if you can't be bothered to earn one.

No support for Cosmetic versions of existing Partyhats on Solomon's.

If you want a New Partyhat Suggestion that doesn't take a lifetime with only a chance to get due to lack of supply and none being less than 7b...

I'd recommend supporting my Billionaire's Club! The cheapest is a guaranteed 1b that never changes. That's only an estimated 20 hours of Telos, according to some quality pvmers that claim him to be roughly 50m/hr. And even higher tiers may be available! And the supply is infinite so you never have to worry about if they will be available when you can afford it.

I offered more affordable availability, but some people didn't like that.

Plz dont advertise your thread here.

you'd best let go of your personal hatred for me. It's getting in the way of you actually reading what I said. I made a suggestion that perfectly fits your recent posts explanation of what you want in a new partyhat. And you can't accept it, only because it's my thread/idea.

It's sad that you constantly contradict yourself and what you say you want anytime I get involved. You must really hate me. L0l
