I feel like the pvm community would benefit big time if a lootshare system was added, similar to rs2.
It is obnoxious not being able to boss with any strangers because if they get a drop theres a good chance they will scam you.

What abuse? I don't understand how you'd abuse it?

What type of lootshare would you implement? currently raids have personal loot that is awarded to each player. If you put in a lootshare. How would it determine who gets what? the players would. meaning you could get a corrupt leader who takes the Tbow. The same thing happened in World of warcraft for years to a large portion of the community. However many people preferred the loot share over personal loot. OSRS is a much smaller community so it might do better.

With raids it's working fine and I see no reason to change things. However at gwd I believe the way it's implemented at rs3 would be way better. It works like this:

Each item dropped would distribute shards amongst team members who could then sell their shards for money. Acquiring 100% of the shards would allow you to create the item in question. Perfect splits, and no cash injected into economy.

Interesting. While this could be successful... what would the drop rates be balanced around? are the shards dropped IF the item would have dropped? if so you would need to kill the boss many many many times and hope you get the SAME shards again. This is also coupled with the ever shrinking bank space many players have.

Well, not particularly. In essence how it works is that the shards are tradable. Therefore even if you've received 20% of a 5-man split of a bandos hilt, for example, you can go to the ge to buy the other 80% of shards to create your full hilt, or you can just sell your shards on the ge for money. The price of the shards would be set directly proportional to the price of the item in question that had been split into shards, so to speak.

Then git gud and L2make trustworthy friends. If I can borrow my friends' spare Twisted Bows and Scythes for months at a time to the point where they forget that they ever had those items in the first place, then you have no excuse to be complaining. The ditch is gonna get endless repolls while sand buckets can pass the first poll and never be implemented. After the ditch passes the 7th poll attempt, it'll be implemented an hour before the poll closes because it's actually important. Deal with it.
