Person puts on armor.

Armor degrades.

Armor can no longer be augmented.

Armor can't be repaired.

Not going to bother reading the 8 pages to understand the reasons people disagree...

I support the original post idea: armor that hasnt been used in combat should be augmentable, period.

I would also propose that there is no good reason behind making degraded armor unable to be augmented. If my Malevolent Cuirass is at 53% and I attempt to add an augmentor, it should calculate 53% of the 36 required divine charges rounded up (so 19) and give me an augmented Malevolent Cuirass with 53% charge remaining. (53,000)

It is not hard to imagine the concept and there is no reason for it not to happen.

It seems like a money sink to me as once you buy it and first wear it, you cant augment it.

So you have to make that choice before you wear it.

Its a money sink either way since the armour is already bought.

If you have to pay the same amount for the Divine Charges or possibly even more since it would round up, plus lets say you have two malev chestplates both at 50% and aug them both, that takes two augmentors which is like 500k each instead of one malev chestplate at full charge which would only require one augmentor.

Essentially it would actually become a bigger money sink this way.

Yeah I have no objection to that in theory but I imagine if they can't fix the issue raised in this thread, there would certainly be technical reasons they can't do the 53%

Still, I look forward to them solving this one, coz it's one of those things that stands out as stupid & only serves to anger players.

They buy high gear, they are excited, they try it on, maybe they want to make sure they can wear it. They haven't left the bank, haven't used it in combat, & then the disappointment at not being able to augment it..............

This is a really clear cut case & I hope someone makes this a priority to try & fix.
