I would suggest doing some novice quests to get used to the combat style
and learn your way around a bit.. it really isnt that much different than
OSRS when you first start out.

If you need help with specific questions pm me in game.

The main difference is RS3 gives the players many choices to achievements. There are also many more achievements than just the xp/level category.

The most noticeable difference is there are 3 combat modes than just 1 in OSRS. Full Manual is the most complex for newer players to abilities but you can stay with Legacy mode to start with and learn the goodness of all the abilities.

There is also the traditional way of skilling or the dungeoneering way which gives you an alternative way to train most skills.

For OSRS players coming to RS3, I'll say start with legacy mode first but don't play in legacy world. In that case, you get a familiar way to progress through combat but you also have the ability bars to play with and start to learn the abilities.

Of course, there are also many more RS3 only skills to entertain you.

why?

It puts you at risk of getting addicted into gambling-like mechanics with real money, which could then lead into the addicted person spending hundreds or even thousands on virtual keys, just to quench the newfound addiction. It'd be better to wait until that risk is removed.

You'll be waiting until 2030 then.

Best not play OSRS either, it gives you the risk of being addicted to the game, causing you to spend $11 a month btw for the rest of your life, meaning the average RuneScape player who is clearly a 9 year old with a life expectency of 80 years will fork out $9372 dollars, clearly an unreasonable some because no one is ever known to exchange money for entertainment!

Whatever the year will be, good things are worth waiting for :P
