Old news, reported all over all Chinese media and even Reddit already.

And the price tag for Jagex is $530 mil, not $350 mil.

Old news, you already posted about this all over the forums already.

Don't see what and who posted on Reddit has anything to do with these RSOF, except I just pointed out the information users of the RSOF may be interested to check and verify themselves. :)

Then why post about it?

Obviously to let the RSOF users who don't use Reddit or don't pay attention to the posts there to see the actual information they are interested in. :)

Isn't it what some RSOF do-gooders do in this thread:

FYI, Fukong Interactive's filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) revealed the original owner of Jagex was actually not the Gowers as almost everybody thought.

According to the SSE filing, Jagex's original owner was Philsec Limited and the company's original name was Meaujo(492)Limited.

In June 20, 2000, the company's name was changed to Jagex Limited.
In March 31, 2001, Philsec Limited sold 100% of Jagex Limited to Andrew Christopher Gower.

Here is the complete ownership history of Jagex (or Meaujo(492)) Limited:

As an Investment Professional at one of the top 3 largest private equity firms, I'm really excited that Jagex is being acquired by Platinum Equity. Platinum is a fantastic firm with some of the best talent in finance and I am confident they will do a great job in supporting Jagex on growth and improvements over the next few years.

Awesome news.

But Jagex is not being acquired by Platinum Equity. Fukong Interactive has agreed to sell Hongtou and Jagex to Platinum Fortune LP, a Plutos Sama Holding, Inc company.

Meh cant get much worse.

Why they dont actually sell it to a developer is beyond me.

And get dissolved. The Classic EA move.

Fukong was actually legitimately looking to become a proper publisher of video games, but their investments failed and that's why they're selling off the only profitable product they have.

Not at all because Fukong Interactive is just transferring control of Jagex to Fukong Media. The Fukong family of companies will retain control of Jagex at the completion of the deal.

Only that some stakes of Hongtou and therefore Jagex will be sold to Plutos Sama.

Fukong's original investment of $300 mil is becoming $530 mil, and Jagex is breaking records in both revenue and profits. How's that a "failed" investment?

The public auction of Hongtou and Jagex that could derail Fukong's agreement to sell them to Platinum Fortune was called off by the Chinese Court yesterday.

Still not officially sold yet, but Fukong's agreement to sell Hongtou and Jagex to Platinum Fortune LP has cleared its key hurdle.

Investments. Plural. Not talking about the one made in jagex as I actually mentioned it made profit. But I guess it's too much to expect you to use your brains.

What do Fukong's other investments outside Jagex has anything to do with the profits of Jagex, Runescape and your brains, especially they made all those investments before they acquired Jagex?
