The wiki provides little assistance on charging dyed Armor.
I searched and read that I can charge dye armor at armor stand with Malevolent energy. However, when I try it does not allow me to charge the armor. I can only assume that it must be broken for me to charge?
Okay. I am stumped. I still cannot charge my Dyed Malevolent Armor. There is obviously something I am missing. Feel like a noob back when I started playing RS.
: I am hovering over my armor and it indicates: “Augmented malevolent cuirass (barrows) (Uncharged)” and “Augmented Malevolent greaves (barrows) (Uncharged)” The armor is at level 17.
: I am at the bank now and fully powering up my charge pack. Now I get a message indicating: “You can’t add any more charge to your charge pack.” However, I keep getting the following message: “Your charge pack has run out of power and you no longer gaining the benefits from your augmented equipment.” I think the message should be saying something like “Your augmented equipment is fully uncharged and is not providing you with the benefits of augmented equipment.”
POH Armor Repair Stand
: When I click the stand, I get the message: “You do not have any items that can be repaired or recharged.” I tried clicking the stand with the armor on and off and same message. Using the armor on the stand gives me a message indicating: “You can’t repair that here”.
Using Malevolent Energy On Armor
: Using 100 Malevolent Energy on the armor gives me a message in the chat box indicating: “Nothing interesting happens”
Bob In Lumbridge
: When right clicking Bob and selecting “Repair-All” returns an error message indicating: “You do not have an items that can be repaired or recharged.” Selecting “Use” on the armor and using it on Bob returns a message indicating: “I can’t do anything with that”.
Nothing that I can see that would allow me to charge the armor.
i swear that charging armour such as malevolent, sirenic and tectonic requires you to use an augmented, but fully charged (and in the case of dyed armour, undyed) new piece of equipment on your old set
so, your barrows dyed malevolent greaves requires a new set of un-dyed augmented malevolent greaves to be used on it. this combines the charges left of both items, and any excess charge is lost. So, if your dyed variant was at 25% and you used a fully charged set on it, you would lose 25% charge, as it only max out at 100% (this would ofcourse, be on your dyed set)
this *is* written on the wiki, but not where you've been looking!, its under each specific item. if you were to search "augmented malevolent greaves (barrows)", its written there should you wish to bookmark it for future reference!
I followed your suggestion and I was able to charge my dyed armor:
- Buy 1 top and 1 bottom of Malevolent armor (Do not wear the armor) - Buy 2 Aumentors - Buy 72 Divine Charges (36 for each armor piece) - Go to the invention workshop and augment the armor - Use the newly created armor on the uncharged dyed armor
