I was mining banite ore, and my Elder Rune Ore Box just disappeared after I filled it up to maximum capacity of banite (140).
I immediately look at my feet to see if I accidentally dropped it, but it's not on the ground.
I look at unfiltered chat to see if by some crazy mishap I accidentally disassembled it, but nothing.
It just vanished before my very eyes!

I tried sending a bug report under 'Lost Items' but it just sends me to the Account Recovery page for some reason.

I don't expect my box to be reimbursed, I just want you guys to make sure you iron this out and make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else.
The Hallucinogenic Perk should stack with itself to make the strange visions happen more often.
It would totally fit my character. A schizophrenic amputee prisoner is basically his whole persona.

There was no bank deposit box at the mining site.
My ore box disappeared after filling up.
It is also not in the bank.

Have you tried depositing everything into the bank and then searching for the box using the search function? I once came across a bug when items became invisible in the inventory after a certain action. Logging in/out fixed that particular bug for me.

It is not in the bank nor could it possibly have been transported there given the situation this happened.

By now I've already moved on and got another ore box.

The purpose of this thread now is to serve as a warning to other players, and to hopefully to be seen by the Mining & Smithing team to urge them to triple check whether or not this was ever intended to happen.

possible you could buy a new box and keep the bane ore in it, but good luck

That will definitely be the case.

You can actually make/buy multiple ore boxes, but if you do you'll find they all have the exact same inventory. That's because the ore box is just a means of accessing a single inventory tied to a character.

If you drop/lose the ore box, you simply drop/lose the box itself. The ores aren't lost along with it since they will remain in your character's "ore inventory" until you either manually empty the ore box, or you deposit the ore box into your bank. You'll need to replace the ore box, but your ores will be safe.
