The Base Camp concept is just like POP. It is not RPG because it is not meant to be the RPG part of the game just like POP is not RPG.

I don't see what the problem is. POP is just a distraction that give us benefits. So is the Base Camp. We don't get to grind port specific resources to upgrade our POP. Why should we be able to grind clay and such to upgrade our Base Camp?

No support. The Base Camp mechanic is just exactly what it should be.

Again, how does this have to do with the topic of this thread? If you don't feel like you are achieving something on the island with the Base Camp using the worker mechanics. You still won't be achieving anything after grinding for resources for months.

If you want xp and other gain you can do other activities but the Base Camp activity is not designed that way.

Not all activities are designed for drops, xp and such, and not just the ones designed for drops and xp are the only worthy activities.
