No because offline game content is meant to be attended to once a while (like a day or hours).

Where did you get that idea from? mobile games? this isn't a mobile game.


POP. Meg come back once a week. You have to check your ships daily for rewards and send them out again, and do a daily encounter for port reward.

You also do other dailyscape like WIld Jade Vine.

Some activities are just designed to need player input but not as a one-off event that gives permanent rewards.

Oh the dailyscape jagex said they were going to rework then shelved?

The logic that a totem can deteriorate that fast is moronic, it makes sense with ships as they are going on VOYAGES. this was done to keep people coming back to the island that's all, cos' they know it's dead content and nothing to do there that can't be done everywhere else.


They never said anything about "shelving" dailyscape. They are actually making QoL changes to enhance dailyscape. Don't you see they ADDED Elite Dungeons and Shifting Tombs to Dungeoneering daily challenge instead of shelving DG?

Players set their ships off POP because it is an offline minigame, not because it is the main content they play a game for. Likewise, if Base Camp keeps them to come to Archronia so they can enjoy the other activities, it serves the same purpose. The main content of Anachronia are still the all the hunting activities, agility course and mobs to slay as well as the stories and related activities yet to be revealed.

If everything is easy to get, it will be no fun.

I don't even remember how long it took us to get through all those POP voyages before we finally found the Eastern Land. But rewards have been really sweet all the time even before we reached the Promised Eastern Land, and can only be better and better when the Black Stone Saga continues. :)

Totems are not built in one day. :)

Nope. Jagex did not lie about working against more Dailyscape. Some people just misinterpreted it.

According to the Runescape Wiki. These were what Jagex said to be looking into working on (note: it was a Game Jam discussion, so not official Jagex announced projects):

Looking into Guthixian Cache and Soul Reaper.
Random times for cache spawns, only allow player who were training Divination to participate.
Change game play to be less competitive.
Depositing memories into cache would give Divination experience and reward experience would become bonus experience (equivalent to 10 minutes of training).
No limit to the amount of times cache could be participated in; and memory conversion bonus would be given every time with the duration reduced to 15 minutes. Other bonuses would be removed.
Diviner's outfit drop rate would be reduced.
Possibly alter traditional Divination training to account for changing Guthixian Cache.[20][21]
Mod Sova is looking at making some new machines to help with dailyscape.
Mod Sova is also going to be working on his previous TAPP to allow players to change what left-click/hotkey does for items on their action bar.[22][23][24][25]
Combine rune sellers into a single shop.[26]
Make Phoenix Lair repeatable with rebalanced pet and phoenix quill drop rate.


It can be easily seen they were talking about dailyscape improvement but hardly any reduction.

Following this Game Jam guideline, Totems can only be made more useful or pieces may be obtained later through different mechanisms, but won't be "reduced". :)
