Simple as this. I see the newest poll is proposing another 120 skill. I am appalled by the sheer discontent within jagex. How can you be saying that you don't want to perk out 120 capes due to moving the goal post, and then ask if we want another 120 skill less than a month after?

120 slayer makes sense, because the whole skill is useful throughout. You build up by killing monsters, which change in difficulty every few levels. Then the best training methods become the highest levelled mobs. Meaning, that if you were to increase the cap to 120 on slayer, we just get access to a faster method to gain xp.

It completely different with summoning. We have familiars which nobody ever uses throughout the skill. They are in majority. Once you reach 99, there are only a handful that are useful (mostly those that boost skills levels, carry items or increase your combat abilities). The skill is already complete, and there is nothing more that needs to be added. The only way you should think of improving it, is by looking at each individual familiar already released, and make their abilities better. There is absolutely no reason to raise the cap to 120.

I am extremely opposed to the idea. I would also like to show my discontent towards the polling in general. I barely had any updates proposed by jagex that I want to be implemented into the game. If they ran out of idea, look at osrs, and implement the best features to rs3 if you need to.

If you are opposed to the idea of 120 summoning, voice your concern. We don't need to raise the cap on skills which just need a little polishing up.

I fail to see this as a reason why they shouldnt make it 120?

I mean theres loads of slay creatures no one uses yet slay got pushed to 120.

The whole point of 120 sum is to make it more useful

That being said, it's so fast to lv up that I don't see why not, if you forget the time to gather charms, it's even faster than invention

I support 120 sum

I'd like to see all skills go to 120 as long as the 99-120 bit is treated the same as 1-99 and not just a couple of things tacked on to boost update frequency.

Would be nice to have a different way to train summoning that isn't just running back and forth.

i also like the idea of summoning going to 120 but it could do with some inprovements not only new familliars and training methode when its done. like being able to have 2 familliars summoned at ones to make the lower ones not so usefull ya could make it that with every level increase you get 1.2/1.5 increase to what ya can maximum summon. a steel titan is 99 with these extra space ya could get a familliar of lvl 22-51 to asisst ya as a secondary summon with just having it 99 that, even makes it possible to have 2 combat familliars of the same typ summoned out. like ya reach 120 then ya got 144/175 summoning strenght. with it ya could support like 2 phoenixes they have equil str 72x2 makes it 144 ya could also go with 2 spirit cocatrices there attacks can lower stats so 2 of them is 86 summon strenght due to them being 43 ea. ya can even just go with a yak(96) and summon lets say a pyrelord(46) for the extra damage and with new familiars being added in the tree more lower level summoned familliars can be used if there usefull for that situation.

As someone who has 120 summoning, I wonder what the effect is of increasing the skill to 120 from a balancing point of perspective. I mean steel titans, nihils, yaks and wooly mammoths already have a substantial impact on the pvming environment. This is currently well balanced: the boosts are needed in end tier pvm and require one to make a trade-off between accuracy (nihils), raw cheap damage (steel titans) or food at the cost of longer kills.
This makes me wonder if there is any room for improvement at all without making familiars overpowered when used against the current end tier bosses. I mean we are already having issues with the 15% dps increase C4TAA introduced, so what room do familiars really have combat wise?

Since this means that combat improvements are not feasible for new familiars, one needs to look at other conveniences they might bring. And in that regard I must say I lack ideas, with most already being in game in some sort of form (invention has pretty much got all conveniences covered). In fact, there are so many things in game these days that make the game easier I wonder if we even need more.

Soo... what can we even add should we increase summoning to 120? Also, a huge portion of players, myself included, already got 120 in this (lets be honest, easy to train) skill. So for them freebies are handed out upon release, something I am not a fan of.

All in all I need quite a bit of convincing before I think increasing the level cap of summoning is a good idea. Feel free to do so though.
