I'm looking forward to them even though I admittedly don't use melee much.. But in the event that it does prove to be a success in terms of a good power upgrade, can you please disallow it in pvp? As of now, DW Melee is quite powerful in PvP... Clan Wars 74 etc etc. If not then I'd like an answer as to why.

Edit: If it's not possible or you don't feel the need to disallow it then I'd really want new defence abilities perhaps in the form of more Codices from the 3rd elite dungeon. Too much power creep is and has never been a good way to go about it for PvP.

I don't think they will be disabled in wilderness considering mutated dazing shot isn't disabled in the wild. Not that many pkers will have mutated abilities from the codex's for the first month since I estimate their price will be around 150m per codex. That amount is right, I'm assuming mutated flurry and fury are going to have their seperate hits combined into one single large hit while its unknown what the mutated barge will be.

But it isn't that powerful in PvP compared to PvM. At least i haven't seen it yet properly. The only positive thing about mutated dazing shot for pvp is that... the normal hits has an extra side-bleed thing despite it being extremely minor but it causes shielders... a problem when it comes to Resonancing it. I just have a feeling that the upcoming melee DW mutator codices are going to be... a bit too powerful and I as a seasoner PvP'er (not good i'd say, just decent but still seasoned as i've been doing it for about a good 6-7 years) fear it'll be a very unhealthy power creep! Anyway... Time will ultimately tell.

I could perfectly imagine that the other mutations also just will add secondary effects to the abilities instead of upgrading their damage caused.

Mutated abilitys from ed2 explained here:

https://old.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/969a0q/tldw_394_patch_note_teasers_august_10th/

Mutated barge is basically "opposite" revenge ability, mutated fury is really good and I will definitely buy that at the end of the month and mutated flurry is alright.

Mutated barge:

Mutated fury:

Mutated flurry:

Yep. I watched the stream. And... to be honest? It isn't as OP as I feared it to be... It's okay then. But that's only on paper! I'll reserve my final judgement when i get into pvp battles against melee that has those mutators unlocked. Apologies for fear mongering. :) Le Infamous XP Waster...
