For the rest of the year we aren’t getting many if any quality updates. Next year from what was revealed at runefest will prove to be the year of the dead.

What is the plan? What’s going on?

I have predicted that the game is slowly seizing updates in order to make the game last longer. Honestly compared to old school runescape 3 next year is seemingly handled by a single developer.

The mining smithing update is the longest running update joke in runescape history. It’s been going on for about 10 years yet no progress has been made.

Runelabs is essentially a wasteland of updates nowadays. Jagex please incorporate runelabs in a better way then popularity. Look for meaningful suggestions. DO NOT LET STREAMERS DETERMINE UPDATES please. With the influence they have they can get any runelabs thread passed.

Please attempt to reform the systems currently in place. Runelabs has the potential for so much more then what was produced.

I want to see game success not a game in a stale state of paralysis.

With the utter most support.

If 2017 is an example, RS3 will be constant MTX updates every week with almost no real game updates.

Gold VIP will mean being forgotten, late start to monthly giveaways, early ends to monthly giveaways, late Q&As, one Q&A out of 4 possibly not happening at all.

Updates we were told we should get a year's membership for delayed until the next year if they ever come at all.

Very little Jmod interaction on the forums, a shame since there is so much useful feedback from players and there are so many great suggestions from players which mostly just gets ignored.

Runelabs failed to gain player participation, in game polls get more results, so I don't think Runelabs is the answer, I would like Jagex to look at their own forums for ideas more though.

The game has become almost solely about boss fighting for too long, with too few meaningful skilling updates, I hope the Mining and Smithing update will change that and make skilling useful and most importantly profitable again, but after a year of disappointment in 2017, probably the worst year in the history of Runescape 3 for updates, I will believe Jagex is delivering only when I see it.

Every year Jagex says they will aim to do better, then Jagex doesn't even fire a shot so has no chance to hit the target. They seem to say words to get players to buy Premiere then forget everything they promised once they get the players to buy a year of membership in advance.

I think 2018 might be the year players don't believe Jagex's hype until they see updates actually happen. And if Jagex fails to deliver quality updates for RS3 is 2018, more players may move to OSRS or to other games.
Hi.

I think that Jagex reads the suggestions and passes on the feedback.

I'd also like to see more new content but to be honest I think it's just harder to deliver new content with RuneScape3's current setup than it is to deliver content for OSRS for example. The graphics may make it harder.

And I also hope that the mining and smithing rework makes skilling profitable again. And yes, this update is announced for a long time but I believe that it's just huge and will have a great impact. Therefore it might be hard to decide what to update in which way and may be tons of work to transfer it into code.

Just my 2 cents

I think their main problem is poor prioritization or lack of prioritization (probably poor one, not lack).. As clearly shown by the "3 expansions a year!" into "yeah... okay, maybe not. we'll just do unfinished business" that changed really REALLY killed this year in terms of quality and meaningful updates.

Looks like next year is going to remain the focus on Unfinished Business... Which I personally don't mind! I just hope that new updates are good enough and actually helps the Community... Well, build as a Community. I've been finding this game very boring recently in the past... 3-4 years actually and it's because this game feels like a single-player game most of the time! Fun is more prevalent when going on adventures with your friends!

@995, this thread is 8 months old, probably better if you find a more recent one, or even start your own thread, just do it's a bit more up to date. ;)
