From the RS3 Twitch stream, it's been revealed that Monday's update is yet another Patchweek, unfortunately.

Mod Shauny also said that the Clan updates will not be live on Monday and stated that it is planned for the 23rd of July patchweek, which IS MONDAY. So, he's either confused or something.

All that money they've made from memberships and predatory MTX, and yet still we have a fresh record-worst month to show for it... yay.

Reminder to dear Jagex: if you can't deliver on updates, tone down the monetization, so that it matches your actual worth. Simple.

id rather things be released with as little bugs as possible. even if that means delay. than forced out on the day people expect, to see the same people complain theres loads of bugs.

Delaying updates hasn't stopped the updates from having ridiculous bugs, both in quantity and method of reproduction. Solak for example was delayed many months, and still had lots of bugs. It's not about rushing, it's about Jagex either having too few staff members (which would be a shameful display for a company that profits dozens of millions of British pounds every year) or the staff having a bad work ethic (MTX like TH is a lazy way to make money, so they aren't even bothered to give 100% effort to their work).

Agreed.

Ppl complaining about patch weeks would just complain if updates were rushed.

well of course i never said there will be no bugs at all. but id rather 50 bugs than 1000.
thats why i said " as little bugs as possible" things are always going to fall through the cracks and get missed.

indeed if that is the case are you wanting jagex staff working over time etc because they lack staff?

https://careers-jagex.icims.com/jobs/search?hashed=-435746459&mobile=false&width=1024&height=500&bga=true&needsRedirect=false&jan1offset=0&jun1offset=60

it seems they are trying to hire where needed. (i know not all is going to be runescape, but still hiring nonetheless)
it either seems they are aware they are understaffed (see link)

so what is throwing a tantrum that this is the case going to actually do? it seems to be complaining for the sake of complaining. when there are actual reasons behind it. that are acceptable.

what are you trying to say with what you wrote?

Catering to the elitists this summer is not amusing me in the least. We all pay membership.

I agree with the post above: LAME and might I add expensive.

And that's why I said that delaying updates hasn't stopped lots of bugs or obviously reproduced bugs from getting through; sure, you can't catch every single bug, but it's so common for Jagex nowadays to release a new update (when they actually do that) either with so many bugs that altogether they add up to killing the mood with the update, or with a bug or two that should've been very easy to catch in the QA but wasn't... even if the update is delayed. "The update is delayed to ensure it's the best it can be" is only a valid excuse when it actually turns out to be true, and only if you aren't asking for more money than your work is worth, as Jagex does with their overly aggressive monetization model.

Because they expect so much money from us in return, yes. Alternatively, they could simply tone down their monetization. If you aren't able to work for X amount of money, have the amount of money match the actual amount of work you do.

You have to realize that while giving someone (or something) another chance every now and then is fine, giving more chances constantly will sooner or later be exploited by that someone/something. Jagex keeps making the same mistakes over and over again, and they aren't interested enough to learn from them and to not repeat them again, because there are players who continue to give them more money without question. If Jagex actually learned from their mistakes, the complaints would tone down also.
