I'll tell ya... I was in Prifdinner mining at the harmony mithril rock and I just got 85 mining.

One of the runite rocks was there with ore in it, so I went and mined my very first runite ore. Well by golly, so many people called me unrepeatable things. How dare I mine their rock?

I call these people "Trah-hernia" miners. -.-

People only complain if it's trah hour and if u mine the rock closest to the mith ores because if u do the other rock won't harmonise there's a whole fc that mines it just to piss harmed ore fc off otherwise that guy is just a troll in general

If you had read the whole list, you already would've gotten the answer: You have a 20 % increased chance for double ore. If it is worth hopping worlds to find a rock is one thing, but there wouldn't be an issue if a friend (chat) or clan mate would call you when it spawns.

The point is twofold:

Rocks will be infinite, and they will also take a long time to mine.

You'll never be in a situation where you cannot easily locate any ore you happen to need. The 20% boost simply makes that singular "harmonized" rock seem more productive.

The problem is, rocks will take a long time to mine: this is by design. The idea is that productivity will be mostly boosted by taking advantage of "rockertunities". If you're actively mining at the main animica mining site, you'll probably *still* get more ores more quickly, due to the ability to take advantage of "rockertunities", than the flat 20% chance to double your ore drop when you finally mine all the way through a singular rock that cannot get "rockertunities".

Now you might think that it's simply better for people who want to AFK. The problem is, if you AFK then your ore gathering speed is further reduced because your character will get tired and have to take breaks. It's hard to see the benefit of a low probability of double ore when it's done in a way that encourages you to diminish your ore gathering speed in not one but TWO large ways.

That is a lot of stuff up to debate:

- I do not know how often rockertunities proc, but the multiplier counts as something between 5 and 7 swings depending on your level (+1 if you use magic golem). The prif rock would grant you likewise a free swing every 5 swings done. Depending on how often they proc that can be worse or better.
- Secondly - there is stuff that helps you to keep your stamina high (perfect juju mining potion), I must admit I would prefer if stamina would work like heat (i.e. maximum efficiency is achieved at 67 % or higher) to allow some slight loss of attention. That also would give agility some value even for relatively active play, likewise fm does for smithing.
- Thirdly - even if it wasn't the beta, that stuff also could be further rebalanced. If you say it's useless and it actually is - it would be fair critism, so why not buff it? It could be increased to 25 % in order to emulate a full stamina bar for instance.
- At last, I do not know how the other mining sites actually look like (only where they are), but I could imagine they won't feature more than a single rock as well. If you got some material regarding the actual composition of those sites - feel free to share.
Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
Quick Fixes: Invention

Light Animica:

Dark Animica:

These are only two of the sites (there will be others), but it's already apparent that they're more or less identical in density to the mining sites we are used to pre-rework. Both these sites have multiple rocks in close proximity, which provides ample opportunity for "rockertunity" bonuses.

From what I can tell, the "rockertunity" bonuses may be easier at the pictured Dark Animica site: the fewer rocks limits the potential position where a "rockertunity" could spawn. The Light Animica site has many more rocks which means "rockertunity" may spawn further away occasionally.

However "rockertunity" simply has no chance to proc at all if the rock you're mining is literally the only rock of it's kind in the area, like the randomly replaced one in Prif will be.
