Qwis7said: Mod Rowleysaid: Nope, still in active development, and shaping up nicely. We're aiming to release it in early September.
Thank you for the responses it really helps reduce the amount of gossips.
I have a feeling they'll think of more things to complain about unfortunately, mate. Elitist Dungeons…...... the world doesn't revolve around you, OP. Shocking, I know.
The difficulty of the new dungeons doesn't suit me either, but I'm glad it's there. The game needs a challenge for those at the higher end of PVM. Maybe one day I'll be good enough to do it myself, maybe not, oh well. I'll do something else.
Perhaps it's better to just be happy that the top-end players have something to put sink their teeth into and hope we'll get something that suits us again next time. You can't please everyone with every single update. In fact, no update ever has.
Thanks Mod Rowley, for the update. I'm very much looking forward to this! When it rains, look for rainbows.

@Xavathos: Glad to hear it! The farm is adding unlocks across most of farming, so there should be something here for everyone, regardless of farming level. It might even get interest from players who aren't fans of what farming currently consists of - that's our hope, anyway.

Alternative farming? Count me in! I'm one of the people who don't like farming much as it stands.
It's not what we do, that's really cool actually, having to remove weeds, then applying fertile soil, planting seeds, watering if needed, it's way more interactive than most other skills, that's not it.
What bothers me personally, is that you have to wait so long, hours and hours for that one burst of exp, and that all allotments have different timers, so that if you want to farm effectively (to train it) you'd be wearing 15 different watches on your arm.
Another, albeit less intrusive, thing that tickles me the wrong way is the amount of inventory management that you do for farm runs. Needing all the seeds, the tools, the payments, space for crops, buckets, teleport runes and other items for all locations, etc. There's so much to it, that it's a little overwhelming to do casually. That's probably just me though, I feel this way with more things, like Dungeoneering and bosses in general for example.
I put off taking on Fight Kiln until yesterday night and I've been maxed in combat for like 6 years now… turns out it wasn't even that hard. Went back twice immediately and got all 3 capes now, but I digress. Maybe it's just something I need to deal with personally, but here's my 2 prawn pennies.
Again, looking forward to what you guys have in store. I'm ready for 99 farming. When it rains, look for rainbows.

Given the way the Farms update was promoted, I expect it to be a grindable minigame-ish sort-of-thing which offers Farming training. This is not a complaint. I will be there to earn every Invention blueprint the place offers as a bare minimum.
