As it stands the Mining & Smithing update presented a really interesting plot twist to Summoning Training.

Pre-update Rune Minotaur pouches were a horrid method to train due to the high expense (rune bars ranged from 12k to 15K) but now they are sitting at 3,100 possibly the highest being 4,000 GP per bar.

Now, you may wonder why talk about Rune Bars? They have become obsolete and are rather useless and worthless and yet I see something as an opportunity and something that the entire community can benefit with an ever blooming influx of new players that may come once RS3 Mobile goes Live.

Anyway let's break down the figures as of current pricing.
Rune Minotaur:

Geyser Titan:

Now let's run some numbers:
They both consume 1 Blue Charm.

Rune Minotaur Requires 86 Summoning and grant 756.8 EXP Per Pouch.
Geyser Titan Requires 89 Summoning and grant 783.2 EXP Per Pouch.
A difference of 26.4 EXP Per Pouch.

Rune Bar Cost (3,100)
Water Talisman Cost (8,200)
A difference of 5,100 GP Per Pouch.

Rune Minotaur require 100 Spirit Shards (2,500 GP)
Geyser Titan require 222 Spirit Shards (5,550)
A difference of 3,050 GP Per Pouch.

Now...I am no Mathematician but for 26.4 MORE EXP I personally would not PAY an extra 8,150 GP.

What are your opinions? Thoughts? Would you be willing to sacrifice 26.4 exp to save 8,150 GP per Pouch?

To fix your screenshots, open the imgur image in its own tab (via right click -> open image in new tab). Then, the address bar will have what you need to copy. It'll be strictly the string of letters and the .png/jpg/whatever the ending is, and you put that in the [imgur src=] Do not copy the whole website url. The True Asgarnia -

Very nice find. One of the advantages rune minotaur also has is that it require less upfront cash and at the same time you don't actually need to stock weeks before dxpw as the limit on rune bars is 20x higher then that of water tally.

Can definitely see this becoming new meta for blue charms.

The downside is that you lose xp per blue charm I think 2x the amount you stated during dxpw. But even if you're doing your summ at taverly you'll be getting 900k xp/hr more at a cost of extra 138m during dxpw.

Taverley shop rebuy prices:

- rune bar = 417gp
- water talisman = 4gp

Means for heavy xp grinders during dxpw people would still do fire/earth/water tallys.

The most concerning part is 10% shop depletion would make rune bars too costly.

Nevertheless still a competitive option for blue charms.
