Phats (and other rares too) have been dropping for a while now (like several weeks).

In just one week, red phat lost 1000m (from 10bill+ to 9bill+).

Will this trend keep up? If so, should we expect to be buying red phats in GE by June?
If you are willing to chuck your most precious possessions like phats because someone said words like crashing/dying/quitting and then find yourself unable to rebuy for what you sold for, then you don't deserve to own a phat.

Doubtful. I don't have anywhere to store my excess gold/shards, and I know there are other players that are more wealthy than me that feel the same way. If hats hit the GE, they would be easily bought out. Glotz says iím cool.

More like the race to see which merchant can scoop the most of them up at the cheapest price. Idk how far they will drop, but just know that at some point they will rebound and historically speaking, they rise a lot more sharply then they drop.

There is more then enough money and too few partyhats in game to keep them well above max cash in my opinion however even with minimal demand from people outside the merchanters.

The old tech behind 07 RS isn't so good at getting rid of bots (in f2p, bots mine/wc; in p2p, they farm d bones), which account for like half the so-called players after observing them in action over the past few months.

If you hate MTX and don't care about protection against inflation, you play osrs; if you hate bots and want to hold phats, which are inflation-protected, you play rs3. FYI, both games let you buy in-game wealth using bonds-to-$$$.

Rares have historically gone up when players quit.

They were hoarded/manipped for a very long time. Hats are being dumped and the sharp decline is a result of there being hardly any real demand. They probably won't go under max cash again though. They will keep declining for a while and then the cycle will start again.

I don't see how moving large sums of RS3 wealth, which can be inflation-protected, to the 07 economy makes for good investing.

3rd age is supposed to be one of the ultimate/end-game items on 07, but a player who held 3rd age melee would have witnessed a two-thirds decline in nominal value over the past few years and over 90% loss in value in real terms (after you adjust for inflation from alching and whatnot).

Pumping and dumping usually operate over short horizons. One mercher told me that it's a game of chicken to see how low they can trick people into selling theirs before gobbling up hats for cheap and telling everyone it's time to buy. The risk is that if you sell and go to bed, you might find yourself trying to buy in an impossible market the next day after school.

A lot of the people I have seen selling phats are not people who will want to go phat-less for more than a few days/weeks.

More bots on OSRS I'm sure.

There is always summer rise because of kids out of school and having more time to play and earn money and buy rares.
