Give us the option to toggle cosmetics on/off. In general, not just your own player- but for all players surrounding you.

It wouldn't harm anyone who wants to keep and play with cosmetics. It would just improve the quality of those who wish to play without it, or would rather see what armor people are using etc.

Just go to areas w/o players then you wont see them.

I mean how do they actually effect your gameplay?

Whats really so bad about them?

Jagex shouldn't do updates just because ppl dislike something.

I mean if they did this, wheres my toggle for ppl as I dislike them cluttering my screen /s

Correct! However, as you can see- not everyone agrees with my point, hence there will be people who still toggles cosmetics
on
. Just because I spesifically don't see it, doesn't mean others won't. That's the nice thing about being able to have options! :)

Yes but I don't see jagex doing this as for the ppl who have them off jagex would lose money.

Plus theres a difference between QOL options and just having one because of a personal disliking of something.

I do not have certain statistics for this, however I am fairly certain that bonds are the main drive- as well as treasure keys during events. A couple of cosmetic outfits doesn't bring them the most revenue, and according to your earlier post- there isn't a high demand for this. So I don't see how they would lose money from giving players this option. I don't believe it would hurt the company one bit.

If it does, I will retract this post as I don't want Jagex to lose any income.

Money lost is still money lost.

They have to make another source of income for it and I don't think ppl want more MTX ;)

-or maybe you just like to create diversity in these forums, for the lol's?

as fun as that is. no not here

im just against the idea. as it holds no purpose (one reason not to do it) it will be a waste of dev time (2nd reason not to do it)

The only "purpose" it does serve is to tickle the fancy of those who have a personal objection for overrides.

Well, then don't make this option f2p, make it something you can buy from Solomon's store. That way, the people who don't want cosmetics, can pay for it. Problem solved. - Which also solves Tenebris' consern of this not being worth dev time.

Doesn't seem like you fully grasp the problem here.

Even if it was members only that's still money lost on ppl not seeing the overrides.

So they need to make up for that somehow.

Try again.

I'm fairly certain I grasped your point. However, you are incorrect.

Nope you're the ones that's incorrect as you still aren't reading anything.

This isn't about ppl misbuying anything as its about the fact jagex would have to make up for lost money.

I'm hearing you saying it's lost money, I'm not seeing you explain why that is. So feel free to add onto your point.

They lose money due to the fact when ppl have this on they don't see them.

The whole point of overrides is to get others interested.

Just because you choose not to be isn't a reason to make jagex lose out on profit.

if less people see your cosmetics where is the drive to buy them. less drive to buy cosmetics less peope will buy them

Exactly.

Seems simple enough to understand IMO.
