All of the member's mini games are dead. We need players in them so, making all of the mini games open to f2p will benefits everybody. Castle war, barbarian assaults, pest control, stealing creation, and others are dead. Letting f2p members be able to do those will help get mini games back up. Life is supposed to be fun

They are not dead because they're not f2p - partially they're just extremely poor in terms of rewards they offer, partially they're also horrible to play in their game mechanic itself. Making some of them f2p as is will cause more damage than good since f2p should tease the full game - and if new players see broken and unmaintained content it would rather repell them. This needs to be fixed first.

I do support converting minigames that still are good in their game mechanic if the conversion can actually be used to enrich f2p in some way.
Improvements: Tooltip / (F2P) QoL v2
Quick Fixes: Invention

Do you realise the vast majority of players are now P2P. If P2P players alone can't keep the games active, any attempt to revive them by releasing them to F2P is unlikely to serve as a long-term solution.

I think game like castle wars and soulsplit and pestcontrol must become f2p becuase i think he right the games are less populair in rs3 and also oldschool has castlewars f2p why not make it in rs3 that it will be f2p in my opionion i fully support this idea

They are removing (or did remove?) Castle Wars games/profound armor from the Trimmed comp cape.
That alone kills minigames because people only did it to afk the thaler and the games.

Any minigames were usually AFK.

Most minigames don't have useful gear in today's meta, even for F2P. Most minigame weapons haven't been improved since like 2010 or 2014. Those are just T70 or T75, yet you can smith and craft stuff better than that, or get for cheap on the GE.
The only armor that might be good is Void Knight Gear, and that isn't even augmentable.

On top of that, the XP return from participating in most minigames is worse than if you were to do the actual skilling for the same time frame of playing the game. (and the waiting period).

The final insults are that a lot of the cosmetic rewards are starting to look outdated and a lot of the minigames mechanics are horrible to use compare to the ease you get in a some of the other minigames.

You have the issue of no one really going to minigames, so if someone did go there, they think "oh, no one plays these" and continues the cycle.

The only reasons devs haven't removed them is because:
1) they would have to take the time to remove the game, which takes dev work (even rat pits took some work)
2) some games would need rewards distributed somehow (like Bounty Hunter and Mobilizing Armies)
3) they may be waiting to see if RS3 Mobile "saves" them

But making minigames F2P will not save something that is already dead content. And even F2P has a fairly small number of players on the servers.

Only reason I can think of you wanting to do this is that you're F2P, you have bot programs, and you just plan to bot your way to the Profound Halo

What does SS have to do with anything?

Lets stick to the minigames topic plz.

Also just because osrs does something doesn't mean rs3 should do the same.
