So this has been going for a while now, ever since the spanish forum closed we still keep getting redirected there after logging in through https://oldschool.runescape.com/
Don't know if this annoys people other than me but as I spaniard I'd like to get redirected to this active forum instead.

Its sounds like a language problem with the website on your side of things. Scroll down to the bottom-right corner of this page and make sure the flag is set to 'English' (Flag of the United Kingdom).

I've logged into the Old School RuneScape site and wasn't redirected to the Spanish forums at all. Try clearing your browsers cookies and try again. If you're connected to a VPN within Spanish / Portugal region, that could be the reason why you're seeing the webpage in Spanish.

The Spanish website was supposed to be removed entirely on Nov 3, 2014....the forums lurked around on there until 2018 when they got locked down but not fully removed.

Since it’s not an active language, nor supported anymore, I agree that a redirect to the Eng lang should be added so users aren’t sent to a language branch that’s no longer supposed to be available.

This shouldn't be happening anymore as they have already applied a fix.

Since this was already escalated to us, don't think we needed updated on this happening every day.

If the issue is some images appearing in a language not your own - we've just launched a fix for this.

If the issue is the entire webpage being in Spanish / another language than your own and not "sticking" when you re-open the RuneScape website, and you've cleared all cookies etc. relating to Jagex please let me know :)
I too was experiencing this redirect to the Spanish version of the website, but it has since stopped. I no longer see the Spanish version when I enter the RuneScape website, no matter if I clear my cookies or not.

The issue which Lyon is referring to is a separate problem from what the OP is experiencing.

Since they’re Spanish, and there’s a Spanish website, the system is supposed to direct them to it...just like what would happen for German, French, and Portuguese speakers by default. The bug was unintended redirection for users who are not in those locations and/or English site pages being half-translated into another language.

Here the OP is asking for the Spanish site to redirect to the english site, since it hasn’t been supported in 4 years (and supposed to have been closed in Nov 2014 as per the newspost)...and the forums being locked down last year and now unusable.

That way they don’t have to switch from an unused site to a supported one every time the preference cookie expires.

I am fully aware of that. I was part of the Spanish Forums too ;)! What I meant to say was that I was experiencing the same thing OP was experiencing and it was fixed after Mod Lyon reported the update on that fix, even though it wasn't related to the redirecting of the Spanish website ^_^.
