CM Nicksaid: I've just hidden two posts for flaming, and one post for quoting an offending post.
I know a lot of you are very vocally in disagreement with this recent turn of events, and you're obviously entitled to your opinion and free to voice it here, but I just request that you please do so without flaming the FMod team, or other users in this thread. The posts I hid were veering very hard into personal attack territory.
Again, this is obviously a very big point of discussion right now, and I understand that emotions do run high. A lot of you are extremely passionate players, and also very passionate about the community here, and I understand that big and sudden changes like this are definitely going to spark intense discussions about what that means...
I'm just asking that you please be kind and respectful in this thread in the future.
Southeastersaid: Other factors will also have to be taken into consideration, for instance if they commit any act that shows that their prolonged absence (or semi-absence) has caused them to lose touch with the forums, then they ought to be on the chopping block as well.
Dong U Deadsaid: Aeroxmastersaid: Thanks for reverting the situation. Good to see that they are reviewing feedback here. what they did was out of order - what was going through there mind I don't know...
Dong U Deadsaid: If I owned the company - I would employ a group of community-based employees - they would work shift work - not sure if I would do 12 hour shifts or keep it at 8 hours around a 24 hour clock - they would all take turns at moderating the forums - up to two moderators are manning the forums at any one time. The forumers would click the old type triangle at the bottom of a post, write what the problem is and a moderator would deal with it.
So if there was a team of 12 community Jmods <- they would all take turns at moderating the forums. If you only need 1 Jmod to man the forums at any one time you might not need to employ so many community workers.
