Dear Community,

No idea were to start to explain this correctly, but I am shocked. As you read on my other thread (Quick find code: 409-410-840-66048863) we are sharing an, for now, known bug. We started to talk further on a new sector on the forum later on because it wasn’t in the right place.

When started, we discovered a same subject around october 2017. Yes, about the same bug.
Some people had questions about that, because it was a year ago and nothing happened nor fixed it. The moderators told us everyweek until now to wait patiantly for an update from them. So we did, the topic was quiet for the last three weeks. So I checked it everyday, if there where updates untill this morning. They totaly removed the topic from 2017 and my new topic whom I placed above. Don’t agree the way this is handled. The forum is a important way to speak things out and get in touch with different thoughts. If things get too difficult to explain, do not silince people with authority.

Really hope there is a good explanation for this, because these actions highly worries me. But before I make a statement, I’ll give a moderator(s) some time to give an detailed answer. Ill take screenshots, so this wont be gone to nothing too..

Got proof of the deleted threads, and all the info within it, such as names of the moderators and posts. I’ll place them public on social media if I got ignored here.

You'll be ignored on this thread for sure.

If you think a Forum Mod has done something wrong, then you must post on the Forum Moderation Review thread using the template where a Jagex Moderator will investigate the issue.

Also, posting on FMR will automatically hide your post so only a Jagex Moderator can see it, so include all relevant information about what's happened, with all names, proofs, etc.

there was a forum cleanup recently where some forums were removed, it could be your thread was in that forum. I also had this happen to one of my threads and was very confused thinking a moderator deleted it bring back the lumbridge pig pit

Ya, it's the forum cleanup that did it.

The thread was moved to the RuneMetrics forum on the 7th of November. That forum was marked to be archived on the 21st of November.

This past Monday, that section was hidden, which is why you can't see the thread anymore...but it most definitely was not deleted, else it would say "Thread not found" when attempting to view it.
Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?

Hi Brusjong!

I can assure you that Jagex is taking that bug seriously and looking into a fix for it - I had escalated it to them a while back.

The reason that thread is gone is indeed a little forum cleanup organized by Mod Meadows that removed the forum it was in, along with some others.

I can assure you the Mods were not trying to censor you or singling out your thread for removal, and you're very much an appreciated part of the RSOF community and I am thankful that it was your original thread that alerted me to this bug.

I can pass this along to the team and see if there is any way to preserve the contents of that thread, or if that forum has already been deleted.

Goodmorning Nick,

Trust about that things got handled, is there. But taking, unannounced, active threads away giving me those concerns. It also removes the fact that people who searching for this specific subject, known that Jagex is been updated about this bug.

Any answers about the content already?

Enjoy your Christmas!:)

Hi Brusjong,

I just wanted to clarify that in each forum due to be archived a notice was posted to give players the heads up that the forum was shortly going to be archived. It was just unfortunate you didn't see them in time. :(

No problem Brusjong, sorry it wasn't made clearer!

Also, unfortunately, the forum and, by extension, the thread, had already been deleted by the time I inquired with Jagex, so unfortunately the contents can't be moved or recovered.

However, as I said before, Jagex have been made aware of this and it's on their list.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions about this, and happy holidays!
