Greetings fellow forumers:

I have come here today in order to discuss whether or not a particular change made to the game was actually necessary. As we are all aware, the Dinh's Bulwark has been nerfed to the point where it is entirely useless anywhere in the game due to its magic defense being removed. Now, before I bring up my opinion on this, I'd like to ensure that I understand everyone's side to this. It would be extremely immature of me to blindly make assumptions about others simply because they enjoy playing the game a different way than I do.

From what I understood, the people in support of this Dinh's Bulwark nerf think that it was far too difficult in order to PK people using it. PKers have claimed that in some cases, it'd take as many as seven or so people risking 1b+ in gear in order to have a chance at PKing someone using a Dinh's Bulwark.

When it comes to the people opposing this change, it appears that they understand how the Dinh's Bulwark is already heavily limited as is in its uses. Furthermore, they have understood how a lot of PKers just seem to want easy prey. Rather than looking to fight another PKer, they tend to pick on poor defenseless ironmen a lot of the time. Ironmen who go to the wilderness to get their clue scroll done have absolutely no intention of PKing or taking part in any form of PvP to a large extent. As a result, they shouldn't be harassed by PKers who derive joy out of cyberbullying others.

This leads into my argument for opposing this nerf which is why it isn't good for Jagex as a business. A good business model is to listen to their playerbase. When 6 hour afk was nerfed to just 20 minutes, the riots were endless. Surely, Jagex must've learned from their past mistakes. The ironman community makes up a significantly larger portion than the PvP community, so it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to punish HCIM who only have one life before losing a significant amount of value in their account just to cater to players who

The shield offers 18+ magic defense for a 2handed shield which isnt that much at all when you compare it to the 1handed black d'hide shield with its 15+ magic defense while still having room for an offensive weapon.

The issue is the black d'hide's magic bonus.. always has been.

TLDR;
Dumb update nerfs already dead content into oblivion

Basically.
If slayer is a skill, then I guess these slayer drop tables catered to skillers by pumping out so many resources. :)
